Chapter Sixty Two

Draco’s P.O.V
I was in my room thinking to myself before seeing Mother walk in and came over to me and sat down, “how are you feeling?” she asked me and I shrugged a little, “could be better.” I told her, “have you gotten anything from your sister lately?” she asked and I shook my head, “no not yet.” I said before my arm started to burn, “another meeting. He probably wants to talk about what had happened.” she said and the both of us had gotten up and left the room before making it to the dinning room to see everyone else arriving as well before we all sat down, “did anyone manage to get the girl?” Voldemort asked them and they were all silent, “No my Lord. she was too strong.” one of them said and I sighed a little hoping no one noticed, “the least you could have done was have her go unconscious.” Voldemort said to them, “even then my Lord, I don’t think we could have managed to even do that.” another said to him, “YOU HAD ONE TASK AND YOU FAILED.” Voldemort shouted at them causing everyone to stay quiet before he spoke up again, “I need her. I need her power to kill Harry Potter and I need it now, I do not care what becomes of the girl in the end.” Voldemort said to everyone before sitting back down, “now, I want you all to find her and when you do, bring her here and I will come to her myself. Do you all understand?” he said to everyone and they all agreed and nodded, “meeting dismissed.” he said before Apparating along with the others as well and I went straight to my room and as soon as I walked inside, I noticed Artemis’s Owl on my desk and quickly shut the door before making my way over to see what she said.

Dear Draco,

I just want to let you know that we’ve been attacked twice by Death Eaters. Both at the Wedding and when we were helping Harry move from his place to the Weasley’s but both time’s we’ve managed to fight them off but when they attacked during the wedding, they tried taking me away but I managed to keep them away. I don’t know how long I will be able to keep them away so I might have to go on the run and into hiding if I’m able so I won’t be able to write to you as it will be to a minimal or nothing at all, so this may or may not be the last letter I send to you or mother and father considering they might be reading these as well. I hope that you’re doing well along with Mother and Father.

After reading the letter, someone walked in and saw that it was both Mother and Father, “what did she say?” Mother asked and I gave them the letter for them to read and once she took it, they both began to read it and once they were done, they both looked at each other before looking at me, “do you think she’s really going to be on the run?” Mother asked us, “who knows. But at this point I think she might have to.” I told her as she sat down on the bed, “he’s right, love. She will most likely have to if she doesn’t want to risk getting caught by the others and I’d rather have her run than come here and be used.” Father said to Mother, “I agree with Father.” I told her as she quickly wiped a tear off of her cheek, “she will be fine. I know she will.” Father said to her and the three of us talked about it for a while    

Artemis’s P.O.V
After writing and sending the letter to Draco, I’ve been thinking about having to leave knowing that they might come back to get me and I can’t risk Fred and his family's lives, “what are you thinking about love?” Fred asked me, bringing me out of my thoughts, “I’ve been thinking about leaving.” I told him, “wait what? No. no you’re not leaving. I’m not letting you out of my sight.” he said to me and I held his face in my hands, “Freddie, Love, Listen to me, after what happened last night I can’t risk staying here and fearing putting you and your family in danger. They will come back to get me, you have to understand that.” I told him, “I don’t want to lose you.” he said to me and I smiled a little, “you won’t lose me. You’ll never lose me alright. I promise you that won’t happen and I’ll try to write to you when I can alright but it won’t be very often and I told the same thing to Draco and I’m sure he told my parents too.” I said to him before he pressed his forehead against mine, “please don’t leave me. Let me come with you.” he said and I started to cry a little, “you know you can’t come with me. I can’t risk it with you around and I couldn’t bear the thought of them ever finding me and hurting you in the process to get me to go with them.” I said to him as I heard him begin to cry as well, “fine. But promise you’ll come back to me.” he said and I nodded, “I promise my love.” I told him before we kissed each other and this kiss was full of love and passion that I didn’t want to stop but soon enough, we broke away from the kiss, “I love you, more than anything.” I said to him, “I love you to my love.” he said back before we hugged each other, “I’ll help you pack before letting the others know alright.” he said and I nodded and the both of us started packing whatever I had with me including the picture of him and I that he had given me for Christmas one year causing me to smile a little when I looked at it, “promise me you’ll be safe when you’re out there.” he said and I nodded, “I will. The same goes for you as well.” I said and he nodded before kissing my forehead, “I have one too. I thought it would’ve been a good idea if we both had a picture when I gave it to you for Christmas.” he said and I smiled a little, “good, then we’ll both have something to look at when we’re apart.” I told him as I looked up at him, “we should get downstairs.” he said and I nodded and grabbed my things and made our way downstairs, “where are you off to?” Mrs. Weasley asked as she came over to us, “I’m leaving” I told her, “what, why?” she asked before Ginny, George and Mr. Weasley came up to see what was going on, “because I know the Death Eaters will return to get me after last night.” I told her, “Are you sure this is what you want, Artemis. You know we can protect you here.” Mr. Weasley said and I nodded, “yes I’m sure and I don’t know what they’ll do if or when they come back and I don’t want the worst for any of you. I can’t risk it.” I told them, “well if that’s what you really want, then we won’t stop you dear. But at least let me pack you some food before you go.” Mrs. Weasley said, “thank you Mrs. Weasley.” I said to her, “please, call me Molly. I think we’ve gone past being formal” she said before walking into the Kitchen and I sat in the living room and Fred sat down next to me, “don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone or your mother will kill you before the Death Eaters got the chance to.” I told him and he chuckled a little, “I can see your point but I promise and I’ll make sure George does the same.” he said and I nodded and after a while longer, Mrs. Weasley came back with a bag of food and I stood up from where I was sitting, “here you go dear and be careful out there alright.” she said and I nodded, “I will Molly. Thanks again for letting me stay here, I appreciate it.” I said to her, “we’re more than happy to let you stay whenever you need.” she said before we hugged each other and I had done the same to Fred, “be safe” I said to him, “I will.” he said back before I hugged the others before walking out and soon Apparated.  

Fred’s P.O.V  
After seeing her leave, I couldn’t help but break down as I fell to my knees, “Fred Dear, everything will be alright. She will come back, I know she will so you have to trust her on this. She’s doing it to protect you and us alright.” mum told me as she hugged me, “then who’s going to protect her mum. I promised her brother I would protect her.” I told her as I hugged her back, “I know darling, I know but with power like hers I know she will survive anything.” she said and I took a moment before nodding, “I hope you’re right about this.” was all I said before I walked back into the house and went straight to mine and George’s room and locked the door since I wanted to be alone for a while and think to myself as I looked at the picture of Artemis and I as I will always remember that night at the Yule Ball as we shared our first kiss then as it will always be the happiest night of my life and I was brought out of my thoughts of Artemis and I when I heard a knock on the door, “Freddie, it’s George. Can I come in?” he said and I unlocked the door and he came in and sat down next to me, “how are you feeling ate?” he asked me and I shrugged, “Worried. Scared. I think that’s the only thing I’ll be feeling for a while.” I told him, “you and I both know mum’s right about Artemis, she can manage to take care of herself. I know she can.” he told me and I nodded, “I know but at the same time I can’t help but feel this way. She means too much to me for me to lose her. I’m in love with her mate.” I said to him and he hugged me and I began to cry again until I felt myself grow tired as I started to calm down, “why don’t you get some rest. You’ve been through a lot.” George told me and I nodded before I laid down and soon fell asleep thinking about her.

Later on, I woke up forgetting what happened before it all came flooding back as I went downstairs to see mum cooking, “oh Fred dear, George told me what happened. How are you feeling?” mother asked me as she walked up to me, “could be worse.” was all I told her, “everything will be fine dear. Why don’t you sit down. Supper is almost ready.” she said and I sat down at the table, “how are you feeling Freddie?” Ginny asked me and I shrugged without saying anything and after a while, everyone was sitting at the table as we started eating and I didn’t eat much of the food that was on my plate the entire time and once everyone was done, we all left the table and I went straight to my room for the rest of the night not wanting to talk to anyone for a while as I eventually went to bed later that night.
