Chapter Forty Four

Artemis’s P.O.V
The lessons in the Room of Requirement finally started once classes were over for the day and we were all standing in two lines and I was in the back with Nigel as Harry and Neville were in the front of the two lines, “Expelliarmus.” Neville said before his wand flew past everyone as we all ducked as it hit the wall behind us, “you alright?” I asked Nigel and he nodded, “yeah” he said as we stood back up as Harry demonstrated to Neville how to do it, “you’re just flourishing your wand too much. Try it like this. Expelliarmus.” Harry said to Neville before eventually doing it and disarmed the practice dummy before we all managed to take turns practicing on doing the same thing for a while longer along with other Defensive spells as well and when the Lesson was over for the night and once we left, we made sure that no one was around as we left the Room of Requirement and I felt someone grab my shoulder and I looked to see that it was Harry, “hey what’s up?” I said to him, “how are you doing?” he asked me and I shrugged a little, “I could be better. Till trying to figure out these powers I guess even though nothing much has happened besides me fainting that one day when we had detention with Umbridge. How about you?” I said to him, “I’m alright. I hope you figure it out before Voldemort does anything.” he said and I nodded and smiled a little, “I hope so too. I hope you know that whatever happens in the end, you’re not alone.” I told him, “I know, it’s just, all of this can get to you sometimes you know.” he said and the both of us started walking, “I get it. Whatever it is between you and Voldemort, it’s like you can never get rid of it. It’s like something that kind of just sticks to you for a while.” I said to him, “yeah I guess you have a point if you put it like that.” he said as he looked like he was thinking about it, “Like I said before, you’re not alone alright. So don’t hesitate to ask anyone for help with anything or to talk to someone. I know Ron and Hermione would listen and they want to be there for you if you let them.” I told him and he nodded and smiled a little, “thanks Artemis. That really means a lot.” he said and I smiled a little before the both of us hugged and we said goodbye before going to our Common Rooms for the rest of the night and I had decided to do my Homework for a while with Draco.

As time passed, we continued to do the private Lessons in the Room of Requirement and we were now practicing Stunning as everyone stood on either side as Nigel stood on one side as Harry explained, “Stunning is one of the most useful spells in your arsenal. It’s sort of a Wizards bread and butter, really. So um, come on then, Nigel. Give it your best shot.” Harry said as he walked to the other side and after a moment, Nigel had done it, “Stupefy” he said, causing him to lose his balance and Harry had landed on the ground, “good. Not bad at all, Nigel. Well done.” Harry said to him, “you alright Nigel?” I asked him, “yeah. I think so.” he said as he got up and eventually, we were all talking to each other as Ginny, myself and the twins were talking and laughing a little before everyone stood on either side again as some  of them cheered for Ron and I heard Fred and George making a bet, “are you both joking right now?” I whispered to them and they both smirked, “One sickle on Hermione.” I whispered again, “you’re on,” Fred and George said and before Ron could get a chance to say anything, Hermione had beaten him to it, “stupefy.” she said, causing him to end up the same way as Harry had as he landed on the ground, “poor Ron. Pay up.” I said chuckling a little before Ron walked up to us, “I let her do that. It’s good manners, isn’t it?” Ron said to us, “sure you did.” I said to him, “whatever, it was completely intentional.” he said and I laughed a little, “oh come on, it wasn’t that funny.” he said to me, “it was a little funny.” I said to him and we continued to take turns and when Fred and I had gone up to try, I smirked at him, “are you ready Freddie?” I asked him and he smirked a little, “definitely.” he said and just like Hermione, I didn’t give him a chance to say anything before I spoke up, “Stupefy.” I said and he went flying back and I felt a little proud, “bloody hell woman. You nearly killed me.” he said as he got up, “then that should be a reminder to never get me angry. I don’t have the best of tempers.” I said smirking a little and he had done the same, “get a room you two.” we heard Ron say and everyone laughed a little before we continued. When the lesson was over, both Nigel and I had gone out first and I looked to see that Mr. Filch was sitting there and I told Nigel that it was alright for the others to go since Mr. Filch wasn’t paying attention and once everyone had left, I had done the same and noticed that Fred was waiting for me and the both of us walked together, “you did good love.” he said to me, “thanks” I said kissing his cheek, “how was your day today love?” he asked me, “it was alright I guess.” I told him until we made it to my Common Room, “I’ll see you tomorrow alright. I love you.” he said and I smiled and nodded, “I love you too.” I said before he kissed me and I eventually made it into the Slytherin Common room for the rest of the night doing homework with Draco and the others.

It was another day and I was with Fred and George as the three of us along with a few others stood outside the Great Hall as Mr. Filch had hung up another plaque and I sighed a little and the questioning soon began and anyone who knew about the Lessons in the Room of Requirement, we continued with the lessons as we continued with practicing the simpler Spells and Charms for now as Harry walked around helping us and one day, Fred and George had suggested on doing something about Mr. Filch, “hey, can I help you guys with the prank?” I asked them, “yeah, sure.” George said and the three of us talked about it for a while before coming up with something and later that night, the three of us made sure that Filch wasn’t around before we managed to put the box of Chocolates on the small table he had next to his seat before rushing to hide and not long after, Mr. Filch walked up to his spot and noticed the box of Chocolates and I smirked a little as he started to eat them before warts began to appear on his face and I was about to laugh before someone covered my mouth and moved, “you’re lucky he didn’t look.” Fred said as he removed his hand from my mouth and I smiled a little, “but you have to admit, it was funny.” I said and we laughed a little before we rushed off incase Mr. Filch decided to start looking for who had done it. After a while, both Fred and I had made it to the Astronomy Tower for a while and spent time together, “do you think all of this will be worth it in the end?” I asked Fred, wondering, “it will definitely be worth it in the end, no matter what happens.” he said and I smiled a little and talked for a while forgetting about everything as we looked at the clear sky and once we realized it was getting late, the both of us managed to leave the Astronomy Tower and make it to the Slytherin Common Room before we shared a kiss and said our goodbyes for the night before I walked inside after saying the Password and I hung out with Draco for a while, “where have you been going every day after classes?” he asked me, “I’ve been hanging out with Fred. why?” I said to him as I tried to keep the Lessons a secret, “oh nothing, I was just wondering.” he said and spent the rest of our time talking and doing some homework together before deciding to go to bed for the night and I had gone to my Dorm with Pansy and the both of us talked for a while as well and had a few laughs here and there after we had gotten changed for the night before the both of us had gone to bed for the night and as time went on, we continued to practice in the Room of Requirement as we were all continuing with the simple defensive spells on each other and the practice dummy that was in the room until Ginny had managed to turn it into dust as it sunk through the grate in the floor, “bloody hell. That was brilliant.” I said to her and she smiled a little before we continued for a while longer before leaving for the night.

It was a Hogsmeade weekend and I had gone with Ron, Hermione and Harry and I decided to ask Ron what to get Fred, “hey Ron, I was wondering what to get your brother Fred for Christmas and I was hoping you could help me.” I said to him, “oh, well he’s clearly been into Jokes for a while now but other than that, I’m not exactly sure what else he’s interested in besides you.” Ron told me, “alright. I’ll figure something out.” I said before leaving and walking around looking at what to get Fred  and had gotten him a few things and it was mostly things from Zonko’s Joke Shop and once it was time for everyone to leave and we finally left and eventually made it back to the Castle and when we did, I had gone right to my dorm to wrap Fred's Christmas Gifts and after I had finished wrapping everything, I had a small smile on my face before hiding them under my bed for now before leaving the dorm and went to see Fred and finally found in as I wondered the halls, “hey Freddie.” I said to him as we walked up to each other, “hey love. How was your day?” he said to me and I kissed his cheek, “I’m doing alright how about you?” I said to him, “I’m doing well darling.” he said and we hung out in the Astronomy Tower for the rest of the day before going back to our Common Rooms for the rest of the night hoping that he likes his Christmas Gifts.
