Artemis’s P.O.V It was finally the night of the Yule Ball and I was in my dorm getting ready and once I was finished, I looked at myself in the Mirror and began to feel nervous as I let out a shaky sigh and smiled to myself before leaving the Common Room and made my way to the Great Hall.

By the time I had gotten to the stairs that made it to the Great Hall, I noticed Hermione standing there and decided to make sure that she was doing alright, “hey, everything alright Hermione?” I asked her and she sighed, “just nervous that’s all.” she said, “look, there is nothing to be nervous about. You look beautiful and whoever your date is will think the same and will be lucky to have you here with them.” I told her and she smiled a little and nodded, “thanks for the Artemis.” she said and I smiled , “together?” I asked and she nodded, “together.” she said and we both came out from hiding and began to walk down the stairs before seeing Fred and Viktor walking up to the both of us and both Hermione and I hooked our arms with theirs, “you look beautiful.” Fred said to me and I smiled, “thanks. You don’t look too bad yourself.” I told him and he chuckled a little before the both of us made our way into the Great Hall and the both of us talked with Angelina and George before everyone quieted down and made a pathway for the champions and their dates to walk through as they had done so as soon as the doors to the Great Hall had opened as we all clapped and once they had gotten to the dance floor, the music began to play and everyone started dancing and eventually, Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall were the first to join in, “care to dance?” Fred asked and I smiled, “I would love to.” I said and the both of us walked onto the Dance floor and I giggled and laughed a little and once the dance was over, a band eventually got on the stage and began to play a few songs as everyone continued to dance with each other and continued to have fun the entire time.
After a while, I was starting to get tired and both Fred and I decided to take a break from the dancing for a while as the both of us left the large group, “are you thirsty love?” he asked me and I nodded, “yes, very.” I told him and he smiled a little, “alright, I’ll go and get us some punch alright.” he said and I nodded before he walked off and both Angelina and I talked for a bot as George had gone with Fred to do the same thing before they both had gotten back and had given us the drinks as the four of us talked for a while longer before hearing a slow song begin and Fred had pulled me to the dance floor again before the both of us began to dance with each other as he held me closer to him the before and I just smiled to myself as we danced in silence. After a while had gone by, the both of us had left the Great Hall hand in hand and ended up in the Astronomy Tower, “I had a good time tonight.” I told him as he had his arm around me, “I had a good time as well. Especially when it’s with you.” he said to me and I blushed a little, “you’re cute when you blush.” he told me and I continued to blush and smile before I started to get cold and rubbed my arms a little before Fred had put his jacket around me, “thanks. You didn’t have to.” I told him, “yes I did. You’re getting cold.” he said to me, “thanks. You’re really sweet.” I said to him, “and you’re even sweeter.” he said before kissing me, I was shocked a first before calming down and kissing him back and gently moving my hand to his cheek as he pulled me closer to him and after what seemed like forever, the both of us broke away from the kiss and pressed our foreheads together and I smiled a little, “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.” he said and I kissed him a again before speaking, “me to.” I said and we both chuckled a little, “I really had a good time with you tonight. It meant a lot to me.” I told him, “the same goes for me. I have to tell you something” he said to me, “ok, you can tell me anything.” I told him as he took a moment before speaking up, “I’ve started to fall in love with you. You mean more to me than just a friend Artemis and I know your parents won’t like it if they ever found out but I just had to get it out.” he said to me causing me to kiss him again and this time, it was filled with passion and after what seemed like forever and prest our foreheads together, “I feel the same way about you. I have for a while.” I told him and we both just smiled at each other and laughed a little as the both of us continued to spend the night together before I started getting tired, “do you want to go back to your Common Room?” he asked me and I nodded as I lifted my head from his shoulder, “yeah, I'm feeling a little tired.” I told him and the both of us left the Astronomy Tower. By the time we made it back to the Slytherin Common Room, the both of us stood outside, “I had fun tonight.” I told him as I smiled at him, “me too. Tonight was the best night of my life.” Fred told me as he gently grabbed my chin and placed a gentle kiss on my lips before hearing Draco, “hey Weasley.” he said, causing us to jump a little before looking at him, “I will tolerate you being with my sister. I will only do so for her so you better not hurt her.” he said to Fred, “you don’t have to worry about that Malfoy. I wouldn’t think of hurting her.” Fred told him and Draco just nodded before walking into the Common Room, “can I ask you something?” he asked me and I nodded, “yeah. Anything.” I said to him and he took a moment before speaking, “do you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked me and I was quiet for a moment before smiling, “yes.” was all I said before we kissed again as I giggled into the kiss, “well, I should probably get inside.” I told him after we broke away from the kiss, “alright then love. I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight.” I said to her before I made it inside with a smile on my face and eventually went to sleep later that night thinking of Fred.
It was another day and the Second Task was nearing and I was hanging out with Fred for a while during Breakfast as the both of us had a few laughs together before leaving the Great Hall and I eventually bumped into Harry and Hermione, “hey guys. How are you doing Harry?” I asked him and he just shrugged as the three of us walked outside after I had gotten something warmer on, “I’m alright I guess.” he said before Hermione spoke up, “he still hasn’t figured out the egg yet.” she said and I sighed a little, “I’m sure he will get it eventually.” I told her, “The Second Task is in two days.” she said, “bloody hell, you better get a move on then.” I told him as we stopped walking, “you told me you told me you’d figure the egg out weeks ago. The task is in two days.” she said to him, “really? I had no Idea. you’ve mentioned that already to Artemis before. I suppose Viktor’s already figured it out.” Harry told her, “yeah. I was wondering the same thing.” I said to Hermione, raising an eyebrow, “wouldn’t know. We didn’t actually talk about the Tournament. Actually, we don’t really talk at all. Viktor’s more of a Physical being.” Hermione told us, “I wouldn’t be surprised.” I said to them and we chuckled a little, “I just mean he’s not particularly loquacious.” she said, “right.” I said laughing a little, “mostly he watches me study. It’s a bit annoying actually. You are trying to figure this egg out aren’t you?” Hermione told him, “What's that supposed to mean?” Harry asked, “it just means these Tasks are designed to test you in the most brutal way. They’re almost cruel. And um, I’m scared for you. You got by the dragons mostly on nerves and a little help from Artemis. I’m not sure it’s going to be enough this time.” Hermione told him, “I’m afraid she’s right Harry. I mean finding out information might help somewhat but probably not by a long shot. These Tasks will just get harder after the other.” I told him before hearing Cedric speaking up, “hey, Potter.” he said coming up to us before Harry walked away and I sighed a little seeing that Cedric had caught up to him, “let’s get going.” I told Hermione before we had done so to let Harry and Cedric talk. I had eventually gotten back to the Castle and bumped into Fred and I smiled before he kissed my cheek and I had done the same, “how’s your day love?” he asked me, “better now. How about you?” I said to him, “same.” he said and we both had hung out and done our homework together for a while before walking around the Castle for a while together and talked and had a few laughs as well before we made it to the Astronomy Tower and we both just sat there looking at the stars in the sky forgetting about everything that’s been going on recently since the Tournament started. Later on, we managed to get back to my Common Room since it was getting late and both Fred and I had said goodnight before we kissed and he walked away before I managed to get inside with a smile on my face and let out a sigh when I sat down on the couch before noticing Draco staring at me, “what?” I asked him, “nothing. You’re smiling. You rarely ever ever smile. That was until we got here anyways.” he told me and I thought about it before shrugging a little and we continued to hang out for a while before going to bed for the night.
