Chapter Thirty Three

Artemis’s P.O.V
It was another day and I was hanging out with Draco and a few other Slytherin’s as we were all outside before hearing Draco call out to Harry, “why so tense Potter? My father and I have a bet you see. I don’t think you’re gonna last 10 minutes in this tournament. He disagrees. He thinks you won’t last five.” Draco said to him, “bloody hell leave him alone for Merlin sakes. He's going through enough as it is.” I told Draco before Harry spoke up, “I don’t give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy. He’s vile and cruel. And you’re just pathetic.” Harry told him and just as he turned away, Draco went to grab his wand. I was going to stop him before Professor Moody turned him into a ferret and I laughed, "I’ll teach you to curse someone when their back is turned.” Moody said as people began to gather around as Moody began to throw Draco around  before Professor McGonagall came rushing over, “Professor Moody. What are you doing?” she asked him, “teaching.” he told her, “is that a- is that a student?” she asked him, “technically, it’s a ferret.” he told her before putting it in Crabbe’s pants and I just continued to laugh as Goyal tried to help but stopped when he had gotten bit and after Draco made it out of Crabbe’s pant leg, Professor McGonagall managed to turn him back into himself, “my father will hear about this.” Draco told him as he panicked, “is that a threat?” Moody said before he chased him around before Professor McGonagall managed to get his attention, “Alastor. We never use Transfiguration as a punishment. Surely Dumbledore told you that.” she said to him, “he might have mentioned it.” Moody told her, “well, you will do well to remember it.” she told him before leaving and getting the others to do the same before Professor Moody made a face at her, “you. Come with me. You can to, maybe you can help him.” he said to both Harry and I before we followed him and eventually made it to his office and looked around to see that it was completely different from previous Professor’s who had the job before him and it kind of creeped me out a little before hearing Professor Moody speak up, “that’s a Foe-Glass. Lets me keep an eye on my enemies. If I can see the whites of their eyes, they’re standing right behind me.” he said to us before both Harry and I jumped a little when something in the chest next to us began to shake it, “wouldn’t even bother telling either of you what’s in there. You wouldn’t believe it if I did. Now, what are you going to do about your dragon?” Professor Moody said, “Are Dragons a part of the First Task?” I asked them and they both nodded before Harry spoke up, “well, you know, I just thought I’d-” Harry tried to say as he stuttered before Professor Moody pushed a stool over to Harry, “Listen to me Potter. Your pal Diggory? By your age, he could turn a whistle into a watch and have it sing you the time. Miss. Delecour? She’s as much a fairy Princess as I am. As for Krum, his head may be filled with sawdust, but Karkaroff’s is not. They’ll have a strategy. And you can bet that it will play to Krums strengths. Come on Potter. What are your Strengths?” he said to Harry, “I don’t know. Well, I can fly. I mean, I’m a fair flyer. But I-” Harry said to him, “better than fair, the way I heard it.” Professor Moody said to him, “yeah, he’s pretty good at it actually.” I mentioned to him, “but I’m not allowed a broom.” Harry mentioned, “says who. As far as we’re concerned, there’s no rule about whether or not you can have a broom.” I told him, smirking a little, “Miss. Malfoy has a point, but you’re also allowed a Wand. this is why I want her to help you as well, hoping that someone you know will do something to do so.” Professor Moody told him and after a while, Harry and I eventually left.

Later on that day after classes were over, I was hanging out with Harry as we talked about the First Task that would be happening sooner than we think as the both of us were in the Library, “alright, I found a few books on Dragons, now, you said Hagrid mentioned that one of them was a Hungarian Horntail.” I said as I looked through the book until I found it, “yeah, it looked like a pretty nasty Dragon” he said and I sighed a little before reading aloud, “well, it is native to Hungary and is also considered one of the most dangerous breed of Dragons if not that, the most dangerous. So If I were you, I would be careful if you pick it and pay attention when you try to get whatever it is they are guarding.” I told him before I had him look through the book to see if he recognised any of the other’s before he stopped and pointed at one, “there, this one. The Common Welsh Green.” he said and I looked at it before reading it aloud as well, “the breed is native to Wales and it usually stays in higher mountain areas. It’s preferred prey is usually sheep and other small animals and tries to avoid human contact altogether. So by the sound of it, it doesn’t seem as bad as the Horntail, but still, I would keep an eye out just in case.” I told him before he looked through before finding another, “The Swedish Short-Snout. It is native to the uninhabited mountains of Sweden. It preferred to live in the wild and uninhabited areas. And since it rarely came into contact with other human beings, the breed has less deaths to its name then most of the Dragons out there. Although. They were a dangerous breed before because it’s agile flying and extremely hot fire.” I told him as I read some of it out before Harry looked for the other one and pointed it out, “the Chinese Fireball it is also known as the     Lion Dragon. It’s name was derived from the mushroom shaped flame that came from it’s nostrils when it’s been angered, along with the same thing that comes from its mouth as well. They are aggressive Dragons but unlike others, they are more tolerant toward their own kind and will also consent to share their own territory with up to two other Dragons. They were also said to be very fast and clever.” I read to him, “well, they sound like Dragons to me” he said and I chuckled a little, “yeah I guess. But some of them don’t sound as bad as most of them. But the one you should be worried about is the Hungarian Horntail, they’re the real nasty ones.” I told him, “then I really hope I don’t get the Horntail then.” he said and we both chuckled a little, “at least now, you will know what to expect from them when the First Task comes around.” I told him and we continued to talk about it for a while longer.

Later that day after dinner in the Great Hall was over and everyone had left the large room and instead of going straight to the Slytherin Common Room, I had decided to go for a walk to clear my head about the Tournament before I noticed someone following me and saw that it was Fred and I smiled a little, “what are you doing?” I asked him and he smiled a little as well, “I was wondering what you were up to.” he said to me as he got closer, “well, if you want to know, I’m headed up to the Astronomy Tower.” I told him as I continued to smile at him, “well then, I hope you don’t mind if I join you?” he asked me and I blushed a little, “I would like that.” I said to him and the both of us eventually made it to the top of the Astronomy Tower and sat down as our feet dangled over the ledge and I just looked up at the sky and the stars and let out a heavy sigh, “what’s on your mind love?” he asked me and I looked at him to see that he was looking at me, “just worried about Harry and this Tournament. I just feel like something is off about the whole thing.” I told him looking away, “I’m sure that everything will be alright. Considering what Harry has been through in the last few years he’s been here, I know he will get through it. He’s stronger than you think.” Fred told me and I let out a sigh knowing that he was right, “I know, it’s just. I don’t know how to explain it.” I said to Fred and he hugged me, “look, I know you’re worried about him, but everything will be alright in the end ok.” he told me and I rested my head on his shoulder, “I guess you’re right.” I said to him and we continued to just sit there for a while and just looked at the stars before I started to get tired and let out a yawn, “are you getting tired love?” he asked me and I nodded, “yeah, a little bit.” I told him, “alright then, let’s get you back to your Common Room then.” he said and the both of us stood up and left the Astronomy Tower and made our way to the Slytherin Common Room, “goodnight Freddie.” I said to him and he smiled a little, “goodnight love.” he said before kissing my cheek for the second time causing me to blush a little, “see you later.” I said to him before quickly kissing his cheek, “see you later.” he said before I managed to walk into the Common Room and make my way to my dorm and got changed before going to sleep that night.
