Chapter Seventeen

Artemis’s P.O.V
By the time we made it back to the Castle, the sun was slowly coming up before Ron, Harry and myself had to go to Dumbledore’s Office since we were told that he wanted to talk to the three of us and by the time we made it there, the three of us stood in front of his desk as he talked to us, “the three of you realize, of course, that in the past few hours, you have broken perhaps a dozen school rules.” Dumbledore told us, “yes sir.” the three of us said, “there is sufficient evidence to have the three of you expelled.” Dumbledore mentioned, “yes sir.” The three of us said again, “Therefore, it is only fitting that the three of you receive Special Awards for Services to the school.” Dumbledore told us and we just smiled at each other, “thanks sir.” Ron said to him, “Now Mr. Weasley, if you would have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban. I believe we want our gamekeeper back.” Dumbledore said to Ron before looking at me, “Miss. Malfoy, would you care to see that he does so.” he said to me and I nodded and walked out with Ron before seeing my Father walking up, “Artemis, Dumbledore had informed me about what had happened. You and I will be having a talk later when you and Draco come home.” father said and I can tell that he was angry as I just looked down and nodded, “yes father.” I managed to say to him before he walked away, “that didn’t sound very good.” Ron mentioned and I shook my head, “no it won’t be good, he will most likely tell me that’s a disgrace to the family or something and yell at me for it.” I said to Ron as we continued walking and made our way to the Owlery and found Ron’s Owl before sending the Release papers off with Errol and I let out a sigh as we made our way back to the Castle, “I’ll see you later alright.” I said to Ron, “see you later.” he said before I made my way to the Slytherin Common Room and when I walked in, I noticed Draco sitting on the couch and I sighed when he saw me, “don’t start, I’m already going to hear it from Father.” I said to him, “I was just going to ask if you were alright.” he said to me, “oh. I’m alright, I’m still alive.” I said to him and he nodded, “what exactly happened last night?” he asked me and I sighed and told him everything, “oh, are you hurt?” he asked me and I shook my head, “no, but I do smell and feel gross.” I told him and he shrugged, “I’m going to get cleaned up and get changed alright and I’ll see you in the Great Hall for Breakfast.” I said to Draco before he hugged me before I went to my dorm and grabbed a clean pair of robes to change into before taking a shower and getting changed when I was done.

Later on, I eventually made it to the Great Hall before bumping into Fred, “hey Artemis, Ron told us what happened. How are you doing?” he said to me and I smiled a little, “I’m fine. Just glad that Ginny is doing alright now that she’s out of there.” I said to him and he smiled a little, “yeah, thanks for helping our sister.” he said and I nodded, “no problem Fred.” I said to him and he smiled, “call me Freddie.” he said and I blushed a little, “alright, Freddie.” I said to him before he hugged me, “I’ll see you later alright.” he said and I nodded, “yeah, see you later” I said before he walked away and I walked over to sit next to Draco before the both of us ate and talked before we left for class. Later that day when classes were over for the day, I was in my dorm packing my trunk not wanting to go home since Hogwarts was starting to grow on me as I was glad that I got to make friends here, even though they weren’t the friends my parents would have expected or wanted me to have in the first place, but I wouldn’t have it any other way as I smiled to myself thinking about it before I continued packing my things for tomorrow and by the time I was done, I made my way back into the Common Room and hung out with Draco and the others before we had to go down to the Great Hall for the feast.

By the time we got there, everyone sat down with their houses as we all ate and laughed and talked with one another and I noticed someone at the doors and stood up to get a better look only to see that it was Hermione and I smiled before myself and Harry hugged her before Her and Ron were about to do the same before they stopped themselves and shook hands instead, “welcome back Hermione.” Ron said to her and I smiled, “it’s good to be back. Congratulations. I can’t believe you solved it.” she said to us, “well, we had loads of help from you. We couldn’t have done it without you.” Harry said to her, “thanks. But I’m sure Artemis helped you as well.” she said as they looked at me, “yeah, she was a great help.” Ron said before we heard someone tapping their glass, “could I have your attention please?” Professor McGonagall asked and I went back to my seat next to Draco and Marcus, “before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey whose Mandrake Juice has been so successfully administered to all who had been petrified.” Dumbledore said and everyone clapped, “also, in light of the recent events as a school treat all exams have been canceled.” Dumbledore told us and we all cheered and clapped and soon the doors to the Great Hall caught everyone's attention when they were opened to reveal Hagrid, “Sorry I’m late. The owl that delivered my release papers got all lost and confused. Some ruddy bird called Errol.” Hagrid said and I chuckled a little before noticing Dumbledore looking at me before seeing Hagrid stop in front of Harry and I went up to him and hugged him, “I’m glad you’re back Hagrid.” I said to him before looking up at him and smiled a little, “thank you Artemis and I’d just like to say that if it hadn’t been for you, Harry and Ron and Hermione of course I would still be You-Know-Where, so I’d just like to say thanks.” Hagrid said to us before Harry stood up, “there’s no Hogwarts without you Hagrid.” Harry told him, “he’s right. It would never be the same without you.” I said to him before Harry hugged him as well before we heard clapping and saw that it was Dumbledore and both Professor McGonagall soon joined in as well as the both of us started clapping as well and soon enough, the rest of the school started clapping and cheering and I soon blew a few whistles every now and then and after a moment, Dumbledore managed to calm everyone down, “now, now everyone calm down and return to your seats and may the feast begin.” Dumbledore said to everyone as we all sat down and began to eat the food as the room was filled with talking and laughing as everyone ate.

Later that night, everyone had gone back to their Common Rooms before Harry, Ron and Hermione came up to me, “thank you for helping us Artemis, we wouldn’t have done it without you.” Harry said to me and I smiled, “no problem Harry. I’m glad that I was able to help you guys.” I said to them as we all joined in a group hug, “I hope you guys have a good Summer Holiday as well when we leave.” I said to them as we moved away from the hug, “the same goes for you as well Artemis. And try to write to us when you can. It would be nice to hear from you, you’ve become a friend of ours now so you’re a part of this friend group.” Hermione said to me, “I’ll try when I’m able to.” I said to her and she smiled and nodded, “see you guys later then.” I said to the and we waved at each other before going our separate ways for the night and I finally made it to the Slytherin Common Room and sat with Draco, Crabbe and Goyal as the four of us talked before going to bed later that night and when I got to my dorm, I soon got changed into my pajamas before getting into bed and when I laid in bed, my thoughts had kept me up as I began to think about Fred through most of the night before finally falling asleep.
