Chapter Twenty Nine

Artemis’s P.O.V
It was another day and everyone was leaving the Castle to head the the Platform and I was walking with Draco and the others to the train as we talked and by the time we got there and the workers grabbed our things, we managed to find somewhere to sit down and continued to talk until I began to feel tired and rested my head on Draco’s shoulder throughout the entire train ride before I felt him shake me lightly, “Artemis, we’re in London now. It’s time to wake up.” he said and I had done so before getting up as I let out a yawn and made our way off the train and walked over to our parents who were waiting for us. We managed to get home and once we did, I went straight to my room and began to unpack my things and put everything away before hearing someone knock on the door, “come in.” I said before hearing the door open and I looked to see that it was my mother and I smiled a little, “hello dear. How was school this year?” she asked and I sighed a little, “it was good.” I told her, smiling a little as I put my trunk under my bed and sat down next to mother, “well, I’m glad to hear that love. Do you want anything in particular for dinner later?” she asked and I thought about it, “not really. Surprise me I guess.” I said and we both chuckled before she got up and walked over to the door, “alright then, I’ll let you know when it’s ready alright.” she said and I nodded before leaving and I sighed a little before walking over to my window and looked outside as my thoughts were about Fred and our conversations we had together as it put a small smile on my face and thought about writing to him over the summer as well. Later that night, I was still sitting by the window as I had decided to read a book for a while before hearing a knock on the door before it opened and saw that it was mother again, “dinner is ready love.” she said and I nodded, “alright. I’ll be there in a minute.” I told her as I got up from my spot and went to put the book away before leaving my room and met with Draco and walked into the dining room together  and we ate and talked together.

Later that night, I continued to read in my room for a while before hearing someone walk in and I looked to see that it was Draco and began to wonder what he wanted, “what’s up?” I asked him as he sat down with me, “I got bored of hearing father talk about whatever is going on at the Ministry.” he said and I sighed a little, “why do you think I’m never in the room when he talks about it.” I said, chuckling a little and he just shook his head as he looked out of the window, “I heard the Quidditch World Cup is coming around. I wonder if we’ll end up going.” I mentioned to him and he shrugged, “we might. I’m sure the Minister will do something about that since father is his favorite.” he said and I knew that just as much, “yeah, considering he knows we have money and he’s able to believe whatever father tells him.” I said to him as I put my book down, “I see your point” he said  and I chuckled a bit, “so how about you and the Weasley twin” he said after a moment of silence, “we’re friends as far as I know. But if he does have feelings toward me like I do him, I want to take it slow for now and see what happens I guess.” I said to him and he nodded before I decided to mention Pansy, “how about you and Pansy? I’ve noticed she’s taken a liking to you.” I said smiling a little, “I don’t know. I mean she’s alright as a friend but I’m starting to notice it to actually and I think she’s a little too clingy.” he said to me and I chuckled a bit and we continued to talk for a while longer before he decided to leave my room since it was getting late and I had gotten changed into something comfortable before going to bed that night.

It had been a few weeks since summer had started and both Fred and I had been writing to each other ever since and sending another off to him before Draco had come into my room and sat down next to me, “what’s gotten you excited?” I asked him, “the Minister has invited us to the Quidditch World Cup and we are to sit with him in the Minister’s Box.” he said and my eyes went wide, “really? I never thought we’d be going to be honest or anywhere at all for that matter.” I told him and he chuckled a bit, “yeah I guess you’re right but at least we get to go somewhere this summer.” he said and I continued to smile a little, “when do we leave then?” I asked him, wondering, “tomorrow and we are going to be spending the night there too.” he said and I nodded, “alright then, we should probably pack.” I mentioned to him and he nodded before he left my room and I had gotten a bag and started packing everything that I needed for tomorrow and by the time I was done and made sure I had everything I needed, I saw father walk in and I smiled, “I’m assuming Draco told you about tomorrow?” he asked and I nodded, “good. And I see you’ve already packed as well.” he said as he noticed the bag, “yeah.” I said to him, “good. We will be getting up early tomorrow as well alright.” he told me and I nodded, “alright father.” I said to him before he eventually left the room and I had gotten ready for bed after getting washed up for the night and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I went right to sleep that night.
