Chapter Twenty Five

Artemis’s P.O.V
It was another day and I was walking around the Castle with Fred as the both of us talked to each other before we had bumped into Harry, Ron and Hermione, “hey. We were going to see Hagrid. Do you want to come with us?” Hermione asked and I nodded, “I’ll see you later Fred.” I said to him and he nodded, “see you later.” he said before walking away and when the four of us had walked outside, we noticed something as we walked by and saw the Executioner sharpening his blade until we made it to the Bridge, “I can’t believe they’re going to kill Buckbeak. It’s just too horrible.” Hermione told us before we saw Draco and a couple of others, “it just got worse.” Ron told us and got angry, “those bloody gits.” I said before Hermione and I walked over to them, “look who's here.” Crabbe said as he noticed us, “ahh, come to see the show?” Draco asked us, “shut up.” I said to him, “you. You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach.” Hermione said as she raised her wand at Draco, “Hermione, no. He's not worth it.” Ron said to her, “no let her do what she wants to him.” I told Ron hoping she would do something, but she eventually lowered her wand and shortly after she turned, she punched Draco in the face before they ran off and my eyes just went wide, “bloody hell. I would have done it myself if he wasn’t my brother.” I said to her, “that felt good.” she said to us, “not good, brilliant.” Ron said to her, “we should probably get going.” I suggested and they agreed before we made our way to Hagrids.

By the time we got there, Hagrid had let us inside and we talked about Buckbeak, “oh, look at him. Loves the smell of the trees when the wind blows through them.” Hagrid said as he looked out the window, “why don’t we just set him free?” Harry suggested to Hagrid, “they’d know it was me, then Dumbledore would get into trouble. He’s coming down, you know, Dumbledore. Says he wants to be with me when they- when it happens. Great man Dumbledore. Great man.” Hagrid said as he fed one of the creatures he had in his home, “we’ll stay with you too, Hagrid.” Hermione said to him, “you’ll do no such thing. Think I want you seeing something like that? No. You just drink your tea and be off. Oh, before you do, Ron.” Hagrid said before turning around to grab something before turning back around with Ron’s rat in his hands, “Scabbers. You’re alive.” Ron said as he grabbed his rat, “you wanna keep a closer eye on your pets Ron.” Hagrid told him, “I think that means you owe someone an apology.” Hermione said to Ron, “right. Next time I see Crooksghanks, I’ll let him know.” Ron said to her, “I don’t think that’s what she meant Ron.” I said to him, “I meant me.” Hermione said before a jar broke and we were all confused, “Blimey.what was that?” Hagrid questioned before something hit the back of Harry’s Head, “you alright Harry?” I asked him, “Hagrid.” He said and both Hagrid and I looked to see the Minister and the Executioner with Dumbledore as they walked toward the house, “bloody hell. That’s not good is it?” I asked, “oh, crikey. It’s late. It’s nearly dark. You shouldn’t be here. If someone sees you outside the Castle at this time of night, you’ll be in trouble, big trouble. Particularly you Harry.” before we heard bangning on the door, “be with you in a moment.” Hagrid said to them before covering the creature, “quick, quick.” Hagrid said to us and we all got to the back door and waited for Harry before we finally started walking out of the back door and hid behind the and waited until I heard something from behind us and noticed that I wasn’t the only one, “what?” Harry asked Hermione and I, “I thought I just saw- nevermind.” Hermione said to him, “let’s go.” Ron said, “I agree with Ron. let’s leave.” I said before he rushed off until we ended up where Hermione had punched Draco and all we could do was watch.

After a moment had passed, Ron had dropped his rat, “Ron, what happened?” I asked him, “he bit me. Scabbers.” Ron said before he went after him, “Ron. Ron” Hermione said, calling for him, “Ron wait.” I said to him as we followed him and continued to call after him until we stopped and noticed the Whomping Willow, “Harry, Artemis, you do realize what tree this is.” Hermione said to us, “yeah and it’s not good.” I said to her, “That's not good. Ron, Run” Harry said before seeing a panicked look appear on Ron's face, “Harry, Hermione, Artemis, run.” Ron shouted as he pointed behind us and we looked to see that it was a dog before it ran in our direction before jumping over us and went for Ron as it dragged him away and Harry, Myself and Hermione tried to get to Ron before it dragged him into the Whomping Willow and just after we had gotten up from the ground, the three of us were thrown back by the Whomping Willow causing me to hit my head and passing out.

Harry’s P.O.V     
After being thrown back, I noticed that Artemis wasn’t moving, “is she alright?” Hermione asked as I went over to her and noticed that she was still breathing and that she had hit her head as I noticed the blood from it, “yeah, she’ll be alright. She must have hit her head.” I told Hermione, “we can’t just leave her there. We should put her somewhere so she doesn’t get hurt.” she said and we both managed to put her somewhere before the both of us tried making our way inside the hole Ron was dragged through until Hermione managed to throw me through causing me to make my into some kind of tunnel before I fell to the ground again before getting up and seeing that it as Hermione, “I’m sorry.” she said to me, “don’t worry.” I told her before I got to my feet, “where do you suppose this goes?” Hermione asked me, “I have a hunch. I just hope I’m wrong.” I told her before we started walking through the tunnel before we made it through the open door that was above us and climbed through and looked around to see that we were in the Shrieking Shack, “we’re in the Shrieking Shack, aren’t we?” Hermione asked, “come on.” I said to Hermione as we made it up the stairs as we continued to find Ron until we finally found him in one of the rooms that were upstairs, “Ron.” I said as we rushed over to him, “Ron. you’re ok.” Hermione said to him, “the dog. Where is it?” I asked him “Harry, It’s a trap. He’s the dog. He’s an Animagus.” Ron told us as he pointed behind us and we turned to see that it was none other than Sirius Black after seeing the door move to reveal him and all I could feel was the anger I felt toward him for what he did to my parents.

Artemis’s P.O.V
I slowly started waking up only to feel myself with a headache as I groaned a little before I looked around to see that it was darker than before seeing Professor Lupin, “are you alright Artemis? It looks like you took quite the hit.” he asked me and I just nodded before feeling my head and saw some dried blood on my fingers, “Yeah, I guess I did.” I said to him before remembering what happened and began to panic and before I made my way inside the Whomping Willow, Professor Lupin stopped me from doing so, “Artemis relax. What’s wrong?” he said and I sighed a little, “it’s a bit complicated actually. You might want to go in there and see for yourself” I said to him and he was confused for a second before nodding “alright then let's go and stay behind me do you understand?” he said and I nodded before we made our way inside and looked around to see where Harry and the others were before we heard them and both Professor Lupin and I got our wands out before he barged into the room and when I soon made it inside myself, I was shocked to see none other than Sirius Black himself as I froze into place not knowing what to do in the moment.
