Chapter Forty Six

Artemis’s P.O.V
The Holiday was finally over and I was walking with Freddie as we made our way to the Castle and before we could walk inside, Hermione came up to me, “Artemis, Hagrids back” she said before telling Harry the same thing, “I’ll see you later.” I said to Freddie and he nodded before leaving with Harry, Ron and Hermione as we made our way to Hagrids. By the time we had gotten there, we soon heard Professor Umbridge speaking to Hagrid and we soon tried looking through the window to see and hear better, “I will say this one last time, I am ordering you to tell me where you’ve been?” she asked him, “I told you. I’ve been away from my health.” we heard Hagrid tell her, “your health?” she questioned before the four of us ducked, “yeah. A bit of fresh air, you know.” Hagrid said, “oh, yes. As Gamekeeper, fresh air must be difficult to come by. If I were you, I wouldn't get too used to being back. In fact, I mightn’t bother unpacking at all” Umbridge said to Hagrid before we hid and dragged Ron as well as we heard the door open and heard Umbridge walk out and spray something before she finally walked away and once she was far enough, the four of us came out of hiding and soon knocked on the door and Hagrid soon opened the door and let us inside and the four of us sat down and he told us what was going on, “this is top secret, alright? Dumbledore sent me to parley with the Giants.” Hagrid told us, “Giant’s?” Hermione questioned, “bloody hell mate. Glad you came back in one piece.” I said to him, “you found them?” Hermione asked him, “well they’re not that hard to find to be perfectly honest. They’re so big you see. I tried to convince them to join the cause. But I wasn’t the only one that was trying to win them over.” Hagrid told us, “Death Eater’s?” Ron and I both questioned, “yes. Trying to persuade them to join You-Know-Who.” Hagrid told us, “and, did they?” Harry asked him, “I gave them Dumbledore’s message. Suppose some of them remember he was friendly to them. I suppose.” Hagrid told us, “And they did this to you?” Harry asked him, “not exactly, no.” he said before Fang started barking, “oh, go on. You have it then, you dozy dog.” Hagrid said, giving Fang the meat before Harry and I felt a breeze and we all got up and looked outside, “it’s changing out there. Just like last time. There’s a storm coming, Harry. We’d all best be ready when she does.” Hagrid said and after a while, the four of us left Hagrid’s place.

By the time we had gotten back to the castle, we made it to the Great Hall to see that Breakfast was still going on, “Dumbledore warned Fudge this could happen. He’s gonna get us all killed just because he can’t face the truth.” Hermione told us, “and yet he’s still blaming Sirius for it as well.” I told them before hearing Seamus speak up and turned to see him standing, “I, uh. I wanted to apologize. Now even my mum says the Prophet’s version of things don’t add up. So, what I’m really trying to say is that I believe you.” Seamus said to him and Harry nodded and told Seamus about the lessons in the Room of Requirement and allowed him to come if he wanted and I began to wonder what happened between the two of them, “what happened between you two anyways?” I asked as we walked away from Seamus, “they had an argument the night we got here.” Ron said to me, “bloody hell, glad he came to his senses then.” I told them as we ate breakfast together as I sat down next to Fred, “how’s your father doing?” I asked him wondering, “he’s doing better. He was out of the Hospital before Christmas.” he told me and I smiled a little, “I’m glad. I really love the picture you gave me of the both of us.” I told him and he smiled and kissed my forehead, “I’m glad and thank you for what you got me as well from Zonkos. I love them.” he said and I kissed his cheek, “I’m glad.” I said and we finished eating before we had gone our separate ways for the day until we met later on and once classes were over for the day, the both of us met up and made our way to the Room of Requirement and made our way inside and once everyone was there, Harry began to teach us how to conjure a Patronus Charm as he walked around helping everyone and once I thought of a happy memory, of both Fred and I during the Yule Ball, my Patronus turned out to be an Eagle and I smiled and laughed a little as it flew around me and my smile soon faded when we all began to hear something as we saw the chandelier shake above us, “bloody hell is going on.” I said as Harry and Nigel walked toward where the door would usually be before Harry looked at me, “Artemis, did you tell Draco about this by chance?”he asked me and I shook my head, “he’s asked me about what I’ve been doing after classes, but I lied about it. I never told him what we were doing here. I swear on my life.” I told him before he looked in front of him again as we all gathered around before the glass eventually broke and soon after, the wall blew to pieces only to show Umbridge and everyone who joined the Inquisitorial Squad and eventually we saw Draco drag Cho into view, “get them.” was all Umbridge said before one of them grabbed Harry and the others forced us out of the room.

Professor Umbridge had replaced Professor Dumbledore and made herself Headmistress of the school and those who were apart of Dumbledore’s Army had detention in the Great Hall with Umbridge and just like before, we had used the Quills she had charmed to repeat the same thing we were writing onto our hands and the entire time, my hand stung and I groaned every once and a while from it as well as some of the others had as well. Once Detention was finally over, Umbridge dismissed everyone and we all began to leave the Great Hall and we noticed Cho standing there and I just looked at her as we walked by thinking what Harry ever saw in her in the first place and both Fred and I made our way to the Astronomy Tower instead of going to our Common Rooms and the only reason I didn’t want to go back yet was because I didn’t want Draco to bombard me with Questions that I don’t want to answer. By the time we had gotten to the Astronomy Tower, the both of us sat down as our feet dangled off the ledge, “how are you feeling love?” he asked me, “I don’t know. But what I do know is that Draco will start questioning me about everything as to why I never told him about the whole Dumbledore’s Army thing and I really don’t want to deal with him right now.” I said to him as he kissed the side of my head, “everything is going to be alright love, ok. Eventually all of this will be over and Umbridge will be gone and we won’t have to deal with her anymore.” he told me, “I hope that you’re right. Because I don’t know how much more I can handle from her.” I said to him and rested my head on his shoulder as we stayed there for a while longer before we decided to leave and make our way back to the Slytherin Common Room, “let me know what happens between you and your brother alright.” he said and I nodded before sharing a kiss, “I love you.” I said to him, “I love you to darling.” he said before he walked away and I turned around to face the door and soon said the password before walking inside only to have everyone staring at me and I went straight to my Dorm. 

After a few moments had gone by, I heard someone knock on the door, “Draco, if that’s you, I don’t want to hear it.” I said but I heard the door open anyways and I let out a sigh and saw that it was him, “I said I don’t want to hear it.” I told him, “well, you’re going to hear it anyways. Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked me, “why would I when you would have told the old hag about it if I did.” I told him as I raised my voice a little, “how would you have known that. I mean, I’ve kept your relationship with Weasley a secret since the both of you started dating.” he said to me, “that’s different. You and I both know what Mother and Father would say or do if they found out about him and I.” I told him as my anger grew before I noticed that he had a shocked look on his face, “what’s wrong with your eyes?” he asked and I became confused, “what do you mean?” I asked him before he found a mirror and gave it to me before I looked to see that my eyes were completely different, “bloody hell” I said in a whisper before they had gone back to normal and fainted. I later woke up to see that I was in the Hospital Wing as I looked around to soon find Draco and Fred, “I fainted again didn’t I?” I asked and they both nodded, “yeah. You did. Whatever this power is that you have, is a lot for you to handle right now, so I would suggest we should help you learn how to control and use it over the summer if that’s alright with you.” Draco said and I just nodded before holding Fred's hand a little tighter and eventually, Madam Pomfrey came over to check on me, “how are you feeling dear?” she asked me, “could be better. But other than that, I'm just tired.” I told her and she nodded, “well, you should take it easy for a while but before that, I do want you to stay the night if that’s alright with you dear.” she said and I nodded before she smiled a little, “and the both of you should go back to your Dormitories as well. She is in good hands.” Madam Pomfrey said to both Fred and Draco, “I’ll see you tomorrow Arty.” Draco said as he hugged me before walking away, “I’ll see you tomorrow as well. Especially before you leave.” he said and we both chuckled, “alrighty then. I love you.” I said to him before he gently kissed my forehead, “I love you to darling.” he said before he left as well and I later fell back asleep that night.
