Artemis’s P.O.V
Another day had gone by and the Second Task was only a few hours away Hermione had asked for my help with Harry as they wanted to figure out what the clue in the egg was about and the four of us eventually made it to the Library and began to figure it out for a while and both Ron and I were falling asleep before I felt someone nudge me and I suddenly woke up to see that it was Hermione and I rubbed my eyes a little before hearing Harry speak, “‘an hour long you’ll have to look.’” Harry said to her, “again, obvious. Though, admittedly, potentially problematic.” Hermione said, “what do you mean potentially problematic.” I told her wondering, “potentially problematic? When’s the last time you held your breath underwater for an hour, Hermione?” Harry asked her, “look, Harry, we can do this. The four of us can figure it out.” Hermione told him, “Maybe we should give him a break, Hermione. He should at least get some sleep.” I told her before hearing Professor Moody, “hate to break up the skull session. Professor McGonagall would like to see you in her office.” he said and just before Harry got up, Professor Moody spoke up again, “not you, Potter, just Weasley and Granger.” he told Harry, “but sir, the second task is only hours away, and-” Hermione began to say before Professor Moody cut her off, “exactly, Miss. Malfoy is also right. Presumably Potter is well prepared by now and could do with a good night’s sleep. Go. now.” Professor Moody said before Ron and Hermione soon left and I helped Harry with his books, “Longbottom. Why don’t you help Potter and Malfoy put the books back.” Professor Moody said before walking away, “hey Neville.” I said to him, “hey.” he said before talking to Harry, “you know, if you’re interested in plants you’d be better off with Goshawk’s Guide to Herbology. Do you know there’s a Wizard in Nepal who’s growing gravity-resistant trees.” Neville said to Harry, “Neville, no offense, but I really don’t care about plants. Now, if there’s a Tibetan Turnip that will allow me to breathe underwater for an hour, then great. But otherwise-” Harry said before Neville spoke up, cutting off Harry, “I don’t know about Turnip. But you could always use Gillyweed.” Neville mentions, “actually that’s not a bad Idea. it will taste awful but you will be able to breathe underwater. It will give you gills on the side of your neck and you’ll be able to swim faster.” I told Harry, “great. Then I’ll use Gillyweed for tomorrow’s Task. Neville, are you able to get any?” Harry said and Neville nodded, “yeah, I’m sure I can manage to get some.” Neville said and I smiled a little, “then you’re set. Let’s get these put away then.” I said and we managed to put the books where they belonged before leaving the Library, “I’m sure this clue you got from the egg will do something and not leave you in the dark the entire time.” I told Harry, “I hope so cause I still have no Idea what it means.” he said, “don’t worry too much alright. Just stay as focused as you can and I’m sure you’ll manage to get through it.” I told him and he nodded, “thanks. I’ll see you later.” he said and I waved goodbye before we had gone our separate ways for the night.

It was now the day of the Second Task and I was walking with Neville and Harry as we made our way to the boats to take us to where the Task will be taking place, “you’re sure about this Neville?” Harry asked him as Neville gave him the Gillyweed, “absolutely.” Neville said, “for an hour?” Harry asked him, “most likely” Neville told him, “Most likely?” Harry questioned, “well, there is some debate among herbalists  as to the effects of fresh water versus salt water-” Neville began to tell Harry, “you’re telling me this now? You must be joking?” Harry said, “I just wanted to help,” Neville told him, “we never said it would last the entire hour to begin with just so you know.” I told Harry, “Well, that makes you a right sight better than Ron and Hermione. Where are they anyway?” Harry said, “who knows, they might already be there.” I told him, “You seem a little tense Harry.” Neville mentioned, “do I?” Harry asked, “he’s not wrong.” I told Harry before the three of us had gotten on the boat and made our way to the Second Task and by the time we had gotten there, the four Champions had gotten to the front of everyone and I stood with Harry as everyone crowded around, “Welcome to the Second Task. Last night, something was stolen from each of our Champions. A treasure of sorts. These four treasures, one for each Champion, now lie on the bottom of the Black Lake. In order to win, each Champion needs only to find their treasure and return to the surface. Simple enough, except for this, they will have but one hour to do so, and one hour only. After that, they’ll be on their own. No magic will save them. You may begin at the sound of the cannon.” Dumbledore said before the cannon had gone off and three of them had jumped into the water except for Harry as I noticed him struggling with the Gillyweed, “I told you it wouldn’t taste good.” I told him before both Professor Moody and I pushed him into the water, “let hope that Gillyweed works out.” he told me and I sighed a little as I looked at the water worried, “I hope so too.” I said just before Harry jumped from the water and I cheered for him along with a few others and now all we have to do is wait for them to come back with whoever was put at the bottom of the Lake.

It has been a while and Fleur was the first to come back but without the so called treasure Dumbledore had mentioned before it started and the next two to come back were Cedric and Viktor with Hermione and Cho and I began to worry for Harry as I helped with Hermione, “are you alright?” I asked her as I wrapped a towel around her, “yes, I’m fine. Is Harry not back yet?” she said and I shook my head, “no not yet. You guys, Cedric and Fleur had all come back before him.” I told her and she quickly shook her head as we waited for Harry and after a few more moments had gone by, Ron and a girl had come up from the water and some of the others helped them out along with Fluer who helped the girl out of the water and I gave fleur some towels to wrap the girl with, “thank you.” she said and I smiled and nodded before giving some to Ron, “are you alright Ron?” I asked him, “yeah. I’m alright.” he said as he took the towels before see Harry fly from the water and land on the floor of the doc and everyone made sure that he was alright as Fluer thanked him before coming up to Ron and had done the same, “and you. You helped.” she said to him and I chuckled a little, “well, yeah, a bit.” Ron said before she kissed him on both cheeks before walking away with her sister, “I think she’s starting to like you now.” I said to him as I continued to chuckle and eventually, Dumbledore had gotten everyone’s attention, “the Winner is, Mr. Diggory who showed innate command of the Bubble-Head Charm. However, seeing as Mr. Potter would have finished first had it not been for his determination to rescue not only Mr. Weasley but the others as well, we’ve agreed to award him, Second place” Dumbledore told everyone, “well done Harry.” I said to him as everyone else also congratulated him on it as well and eventually, everyone had gotten back on the boats and made our way back to the castle and I sat next to Fred as we talked about the Task until we gotten back to the dock and got off the boat, “all that moral fiber, eh?” one of them said, “Moral fiber. Blimey. Even when it turns out wrong, it turns out right” Ron said to us, “well done, Moral Fiber.” one of the twins said to Harry before Mr. Crouch talked to him, “see you at Hagrids Harry.” Ron shouted to Harry as we walked back to the castle and by the time we had gotten there, both Ron and Hermione had gotten dried off and changed when they had gotten back to their Common Room and both Fred and I had decided to walk around the halls as we talked and had a few laughs.

After walking for a while, both Fred and I ended up at the Astronomy Tower before the both of us sat down for a while and continued to talk for a while longer, “I’m beginning to notice that we come here quite often.” I mentioned to him, “yeah. This has become our spot I guess.” Fred said, causing me to smile and I rested my head on his shoulder, do you think Harry will come out of this alive?” I asked him wondering, “I’m sure he will Artemis. I know he will. We all know he will so there’s nothing to worry about alright love.” he told me and I nodded and I continued to sit there with him as I looked at the stars, “if we are still together in the future outside of school and we were married, would you want to live out here like this?” I asked him, “what brought up this topic?” he asked, chuckling, “I don’t know. I guess I just wanted to think about something else for once instead of talking about the Tournament.” I told him, “fair enough. But yeah, it would be nice to live somewhere like this. It would be nice. Peaceful even.” He told me and I smiled, “do you mind if we keep our relationship from my parents for a while. I know if we told them, they would say some hurtful things towards the both of us or worse.” I told him and he nodded before he gently kissed my forehead, “of course love. I don’t blame you for wanting to either.” he told me and I gently kissed his cheek, “I love you.” I said to him, “I love you more darling.” he said back and I just realized we said I love you for the first time and we continued to sit there for a while longer before we both decided to head back to our Common Rooms for the night and he had walked me back to mine first and before I walked inside, I stole a quick kiss and we both chuckled, “goodnight Freddie.” I said to him, “goodnight my love.” he said before I walked into the Slytherin Common Room for the rest of the night and I walked up to my dorm and had gotten changed before going to bed later that night.
