Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?

"Honestly? No," Jaemin said. "I don't see the point of it."

"I do it sometimes," Yumi admitted, surveying the little work she's managed to get done so far. "Especially when I'm calling someone to ask something if they're unfamiliar."

"Unfamiliar in the sense that you're not close with them?"

"Yeah. I tend to stumble over my words a lot, more so if I'm nervous. In fact, a few times, I've been told that I talk like I'm about to meet my death," she chuckled. "I hate making a fool of myself, which happens too often, as I mess up a lot. So it's not really surprising that I rehearse what I'm going to say."

"You need more self-confidence," Jaemin observed.

"You just noticed?"

"No, I've just refrained from saying so for the past year," he said. "I hope you know that however badly you mess up, it won't change how much I admire you."

"Don't say that, you'll jinx me," she said, reaching for the can again. "Anyway. The next question?"
