My birthday was awesome! It's Monday now. My birthday was yesterday.

I woke up to find that none of the beds were occupied. James, Sirius, and Peter had already left to go downstairs. At first, I almost forgot that it was my birthday....

Then, after I prepared, I went to the common room. Well, that's when everything started.

The three of them, all yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

James told me that they would not permit me to go to the library and study today (which was exactly what I'd been planning to do). The three of them dragged me to the breakfast hall. Not many people were there since most people like to sleep in during weekends. Then, the owls came.

I got one from mum and dad. They wrote a really nice letter, sent some chocolate, and a new book. Well...the book was wrapped up, and they stated in the letter that I had to open it in private. So, I'll write about it later.

James' owl flew in through the window in such a hurry that it knocked over my pumpkin juice. James gave me a nice card, and a lot of sugar quills. Seriously....A LOT.

A Hogwarts owl flew in, carrying Sirius' present. It was a bit sleepy, and it nearly dropped it. It was a brown parcel with the words "Happy Birthday" scrawled on it in really messy handwriting. It was the sequel to the book about Quidditch he gave me during Christmas. I thought it might be a prank...but, no. It wasn't. Sirius is really keen to get me interested in that sport....

Then, Peter's barn owl flew in. It dropped a bag of "Bertie Bott's every flavor beans" on my head.

I never expected to get this many gifts! Honestly, all I was hoping for were some cards.....

We stayed outside most of the day. Sirius went to the kitchens (don't ask me how he knew how to get in there), and got some snacks from time to time. We stayed near the lake. Talking, playing games, walking around. Well...the only hard part was when we got near the Womping Willow. I hate that tree.

Peter walked a bit too near it, and got hit by one of its branches. He was furious, especially when James and Sirius laughed. He began to wonder why Hogwarts had that tree in the first place. James and Sirius started to wonder too. I pretended to guess why....Of course, I know why, but I can't let them know that.

Anyway, today, I opened the present mum and dad gave me. The title is: Hairy Snout, Human heart. Well, you can probably guess what it's about....

No wonder they wanted me to open it in private. It's actually a really good story that I can relate to. Well, I might as well get some sleep. Classes were okay today. I'm done with all my homework.
