It's Christmas! Well, technically it's over. It's the night of Christmas day, that is.

Yesterday, mum helped me make some cool Christmas cookies. I have no idea how I helped 'cause I kept making mistakes, but it was fun! She even taught me how to make these special sugar cookies. I made some for each of my friends. James' were shaped as broomsticks (he will get one, I'm sure!), Sirius' were shaped as Gryffindor scarves (you have no idea how he loves being in Gryffindor), and Peter's were shaped as his pet frog (I'm not sure if it is a frog...it looks awful! The cookies don't though.).

Today we opened our presents at home. Mum loved the sweets and so did dad. They were quite surprised that I got them something. Mum and Dad gave me some sugar quills and a really cool book about advanced D.A.D.A. since they heard of my love for the subject. Plus, my grandmother sent me some "extra Christmas money". This is the best Christmas ever!

Also, we (James, Sirius, Peter, and I) are planning to meet up at Diagon alley to catch up and "hang out" as Sirius puts it. My parents will take me. Honestly, mum is thrilled about this "meeting my friends" and dad, well, he won't show it, but he really is happy. I don't know. I just...I never thought I'd do something like this....meet up with friends. Gosh! If they could read this now... I'm laughing, just thinking about it! Also, I've added extra locking charms on this thing. I have to work on some essays that were given to us over break. Not that I haven't already finished them, but double-checking never hurt anyone. Yes, that's what I'll do tomorrow then; I'll squeeze in some extra reading about the history of magic. Besides, one can never be too early when reviewing for History of Magic.Oh! And I'll have to owl a thank you letter to grandma for the Christmas money.
