Ahh, April fools. I will never underestimate my friends pranking skills or sheer dumbness again. That's all I want to say.

Today, five kids ended up in the hospital wing (two because of James and Sirius, the others because of some other people). I have an awful headache, Peter has boils all over because of something James got him to eat, I cannot find my school books anywhere (because someone hid them), the Gryffindor house has lost a total of 85 points (the other houses lost some too), the prefects are just about ready to tear their hair out, and the professors are all on edge. Other than that, everything's fine! Just fine.

Now, you see, I should be writing my Herbology essay about Dittany, but seeing as all my parchment has gone missing (along with my other books and school supplies), I'm stuck here, in the library.

Well, I do know dittany pretty well. I am in the library now, by the way.

Here is some information about it:

"In addition to Dittany's essence being applied topically, the raw plant can be consumed to heal shallow wounds. It is used in a mixture with silver to cure werewolf bites, and shredded Dittany is an ingredient in the creation of the Wiggenweld Potion. Also known as Burning Bush, it sometimes releases flammable vapours."-One thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi

Okay, here I am, writing about Dittany, in the library, on April fool's day. Why? Well, James, Sirius, and Peter (who always tags along) are in detention. Therefore, I cannot get a hold of them to ask WHERE they hid my books and parchment, and WHY. So, they shouldn't expect me to help them with their Herbology essay. Nope, I won't help them. This is frustrating....I never pass homework late. What will I tell Professor Herbert Beery tomorrow?

Then again, I know a lot about dittany, it being a cure for "bites" and "bruises", after all.
I should know, I use it all the time! I'm going to borrow some parchment from Frank. Maybe he has some....

Also, we have Astrology tonight at midnight. I don't want to forget. I nearly missed the last lesson because I fell asleep. Well, time to watch the phases of the moon (as if I don't do that all the time). Astrology feels so depressing sometimes....watching the moon and all....

Never mind. I'm going to find Frank now.
