Two days ago was the full moon. Mum has been crying. I went to the basement (as usual), and dad put the extra charms. I waited, and it....well...it happened.

I woke up in my bed. Mum was sobbing. Dad was just standing, looking solemn. Apparently, I've been so used to....transforming in Hogwarts that I took it out on myself. More than the usual, I managed to get a concussion, and a broken leg. Since we don't have the medication I have in Hogwarts, the broken leg will last for a while, which means that I can't make it to Hogsmead where I was supposed to meet the marauders. Mum was crying because she's never seen me like...this. I guess she didn't know that my....err-"injuries" have become worse over the school year.

I'm now in bed, with a cup of hot chocolate. Mum and dad are talking quietly downstairs. They've been on edge ever since full moon. I owled my friends that I wouldn't be able to come because I broke my leg while "climbing a tree". I hope they'll be okay with that.

Dad talked to me earlier this morning. He's going through one of those "phases" where he says he's to blame for my... "Condition". Of course it's not his fault. Well, dad goes through that "phase" a lot. It's been ages since his last one, but...well, it's back now. He tells me he's sorry, and that he wishes I could have a normal life. I tell him there's nothing to be sorry about, and that my life is normal.

Mum insists that I hurry up and go to sleep. Again, I've been asleep for most of today, and all of yesterday. It feels impossible to sleep now! But, I guess it'll make her feel better if I get some shut eye. I'll just read another chapter of A Tale of Two Cities, and then I'll sleep (if I can fall asleep....).
