James birthday is near. Sirius, Peter, and I are planning quite a surprise. I was able to get a third year to buy some chocolate frogs from Hogsmead. I hope James will like them.
Full moon was last night. I'm writing this in the hospital wing (naturally). My excuse this time is that I was trying to practice a disarming charm, but it backfired, and I hurt myself. Honestly, that would never happen. The disarming charm is so easy! My friends will probably think that I'm the most ignorant person in the school. Still, it is a good excuse...
Anyway, our DADA teacher, Prof. Meyers is okay. He focuses more on discussions and lectures than on hands-on activities. If ever I become a teacher, mark my words, I'll have a lot of hands-on activities. Like, how are we supposed to learn anything if we aren't even practicing? The only time we use magic is when we have to practice the knockback jinx, disarming charm, and shield charm. We've been practicing those for ages! I can do it with my eyes closed!
I might as well go to sleep. Tomorrow, we have another flying lesson....I'm okay at it. The Quidditch books have been helping in a way.
