I'm home! I can't believe that almost nothing changed since I left. My room is exactly the same. My books are all stacked up neatly, my bed is folded properly, and my posters are still on the wall. Mum and dad picked me up from platform 9 ¾ earlier this morning.

Leaving Hogwarts, Sirius was moaning all throughout the train ride, James was going on and on about getting a new broomstick, and Peter was stuffing himself with those early Christmas sweets his aunt sent him. Me, I'm not expecting any presents, maybe a nice book or two and some chocolate. I don't need that much. Besides, I have no intention of owning a broomstick. We all agreed to owl each other over the holidays.

When we got to the station, we all met our families and waved goodbye to each other. Sirius was not exactly that cheerful about it. He grimaced throughout the whole train ride!Sirius is the only Gryffindor in his family (who are all Slytherins), he is also the only one who doesn't share the same anti-muggle beliefs as they do. To be honest, he's the bravest of us all, standing up to his family like that. i could never do it, not after all mum and dad sacrificed for my....my...problem.

Speaking of family, I have no idea what to give my parent's for Christmas! I have no idea what to get my friends either! When we got home, mum had prepared a special lunch, and dad wanted to know all about my school year. I told them about James, Sirius, and Peter. I told them about madam Pomfrey, Professor Dumbledore, and the weird antics of our potions professor (Slughorn). I told them about the lake, the forbidden forest, and all the other places I've seen. Not that they haven't seen it. My parents did go to Hogwarts before, but they were still happy to hear about my experiences.

Mum is going to make her famous Christmas cookies a day before December 25. Maybe I can help her out. I should go now. Mum is calling from downstairs. It's dinner time.
