Bowtruckles are pretty interesting. Dad took me with him while he was doing research on them. We were observing them in their "natural habitat".

Also, school will be resuming soon. Mum will take me to Diagon Alley tomorrow. That place is huge! I need a new cauldron, and my robes are getting a bit short. Dad says I should try out for quidditch. He says he did when he was my age. Well, I know how to fly. It's just...well, it's too tiring. I miss enough days from school already. Besides, I don't know how I can possibly squeeze in practice and matches with all the studying I'm doing. See, I'm not like my friends...I actually study during schooldays. James and Sirius are naturally talented (although they need to work on written stuff). Peter...well, he tries to follow James and Sirius' example. I, on the other hand tend to freak out whenever exams draw near.

Well, how can I help it? I have to learn everything I can while I'm at Hogwarts. Who knows? Maybe one day I won't go back to Hogwarts. Maybe I'll wake up, and maybe all of this will just be a dream. I don't know! I'll just focus on studies, pranking, friends, and those kind of things for now. I won't try out for quidditch.

Mum got me some way-too-long robes at Diagon alley. We also got a fine cauldron, and all of my books. I'm glad the robes are long...I've acquired quite an amount of injuries during the summer. It would be best that no one sees them. My arms and legs will be covered by the robes. All I have to explain is the scar on my cheek. I got it from a "tree climbing accident"...well, that's what I'll tell my friends.

We also bought some quills, ink, and parchment. I'm really glad to be going back to Hogwarts. Of course, I'll miss mum and dad. I'll miss the quiet, calm, serenity of home. I'll miss the forest, and my room. But, I am really excited to finally go back to Hogwarts.
