So, today in DADA, Prof. Meyers was teaching us about different ways to treat werewolf bites. Ha! As if I don't know that already. I won't need to read up on that. Werewolf bites are awful....you know what they can do. My whole life revolves around one....

Well, many people have a lot to say about lycanthropy. Unfortunately, we had this class with the Slytherins.

Seth Parkinson said that "they shouldn't be allowed to socialize with wizards."

Kelly said that "Werewolves are vicious and inhumane creatures that are better off not existing. I mean, we wouldn't need to learn how to treat werewolf bites if they didn't exist!"

Lucious Malfoy said that "They're a menace to society. I wouldn't even want to be anywhere near one."

I don't know if I should find these statements hurtful or amusing. If only they knew.....

Okay, it is a bit funny. They were all saying that they'd hate to be near one....well, they are near one. Some Gryffindor's had some bad things to say as well. Thank goodness James had nothing bad to say. Sirius didn't have this class with us, and Peter wasn't paying attention.

Well, hearing all the jeers, I was upset, nervous, and scared. James noticed that I paled a bit. I told him that I just wasn't feeling well. It's easy to laugh about it now, but when I was there, in the classroom, I was scared to death. What if they found out? What if what they said was true?

NO. I won't let it get to me. It's my friends' opinions that matter. Besides, lycanthropy is different for all people. Some people who are affected by it do tend to turn it in a negative way. I'm not like that though. They just don't know, don't understand.

Okay, they are hurtful. These people don't know what they're talking about! They don't know what we....what I go through! Better off not existing? Ha! If they were in my shoes, what would they think? It's sickening! If there's one thing I've learned though, it's that I can never let anyone find out. They just don't know, don't understand.

No, they definitely do not understand. They will never understand, and it's best that they don't.
