Day 5

Hi, again. School is pretty interesting. I was surprised to learn that I was quite ahead of everyone else in my year, and that none of my classmates had read any of the textbooks before school started. I guess I’ll have to thank dad for that. This is my fifth day here, it’s Friday, and I have come to notice that my friends (particularly James and Sirius) seem to have a knack of getting into trouble. Somehow, they always manage to drag me and Peter into it, and somehow, I manage to have fun.

James and Sirius are pretty smart. They were able to get the levitation spell right away. They may be considered troublemakers, but they’re smart troublemakers. Peter, well, he has a bit of trouble, probably because he’s nervous most of the time. I’m so glad to have some people my age to relate to. It’s actually a surprise that they’re friends with me at all! James and Sirius are pretty popular already. Peter follows them everywhere. I, well I join them most of the time.

Mum sent a letter today during breakfast. One more thing that is awesome about Hogwarts are the meals. Gosh, it’s like every day is a feast. She sent a really long letter about behaving myself, rules, being respectful, and…well, about… You know. I haven’t exactly been able to put a kind of lock on this thing, so I’ll just be careful for now.
