Chapter 30

For the man I love

You inhaled as strenght flowed through your body, and you walked with a steady pace. Perseverance then joined your feelings.

For the next two weeks after your fall in the Underground, every damn time you tried to search for that Gaster guy in the lab, he was either at home, late for work or you couldn't simply find him.

"C'mon, I can't even thank him for worrying for me that day, even if I can't explain why..."

You just wanted to have a talk with him.

The night before you even made a weird dream.

You were in a sort of white land. It looked like...something pure. You couldn't worry about one thing.

You were sitting on blue flowers, which you matched with echo flowers.

"Why are there echo flowers here? And...why do I feel like I've already been here? This is too familiar...someone was here with me before"

And suddenly, you felt someone pulling you from behind and embracing their arms around you.

You didn't know what to do: the person was just there, holding you tightly and doing nothing else.

It looked like the person really needed a hug.

But then, you heard something wet on your shoulder.

Were they...crying?

They started talking with shaky sobs, and their voice sounded like it belonged to a man.

"I'm sorry...I couldn't do anything to prevent what happened...oh, if only you could remember everything...it's my biggest regret"

Remember?

Remember what?

"My love, I will always watch over you, no matter how our lives go. I'll be by your side even if you can't know it.

I will always love you"

Then something happened.

You felt the person release you and walking away.

But you didn't want them to go away.

You needed them to stay, even if you didn't know why.

What was the reason for this? The longing feeling.

He was the one you were searching for so long.

You turned to face him and ran as he walked away.

"WAIT, GASTER, DON'T GO-" you said as you grasped with your hand. But before you could call for him, he had already disappeared.

But then you woke up in the middle of the night, and you didn't know why you implored this Gaster to stay with you.

And especially, you didn't know why you called specifically Gaster. It could have been easily someone else, but for some reason, you said his name.

And now here you are, searching again for him as you roamed through the corridors of the building, searching for the souls section.

That's when you bumped into someone, bringing you back to reality.

"Uh- I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention-" you said as you held your arm that bumped into someone.

You looked at the person in front of you. Or rather, beneath you.

He was shorter than you, his height probably reached between your arm and your shoulder, and he was wearing a blue coat, with two black pants and...pink slippers?
