Hey y'all, long time no talk :)

I've finally made progress with the second book, enough so that I've added some more stuff and details. And I liked adding the details for everything so much that I was going through the first part and decided I needed more interaction between Xion and Brody.

Not only that, but I think it would be interesting to see a bit behind how Brody came to figure out Danielle being a white before she said it. Mostly Xion kicking Brody's brain around a little bit as shown when you read below haha.

This is chapters 18 to 21 when he leaves to have a bit of space after she tells him and until he finds her when he goes after her to Vermont. Hope you guys enjoy this little snippet and I'll be posting the first few chapters of book two later today.

Enjoy loves <3

Brody POV

'FUCK!'

I snarl as I run into the woods, further and further, as fast as I possibly can. I can't be there. I just couldn't, or else I was going to do something that I shouldn't. I was going to say something that I shouldn't. Hell, I know that I already did do that.

'No shit, Sherlock.'

'Xion,' I snap softly. 'Enough.'

Xion grunts angrily and doesn't say anything as I just keep running and running through the woods of my territory. I of course knew where the edges of it were, having lived here my entire life. I knew which areas I could get close to and I knew which ones I should steer clear of. But where I was going, it wouldn't matter.

I just kept running, my heartbeat practically in my ears. My paws thumped against the hard, cold ground but I didn't care. The cold air blasted in my face as I ran, flying through my fur and making me feel like an ice cube.

I don't mind the cold, I don't. It's also usually not an issue for me. But for how pissed off I was, and just blindly jumping out into the night off my balcony, it was a little worse. The adrenaline I had was wearing off and I could feel it since the cold was even worse.

I didn't even know where I was going to be fair. I just took off and ran off, I didn't know what to do. I just knew that I needed some space. And not just from Danielle, I mean from everyone. I didn't want to see a single soul for the time being. Not until I wrapped my head around what was going on. Or tried to at least.

Running helped clear my head, for a while at least. I used to do it with Augustus all the time when we were younger, of course while most of the time having chaperones, or border patrol going with us. It sort of became a normal thing for me to do alone after he died, even if it did make me sad at times.

I know I should've told someone what I was doing since I technically am Alpha but, I wasn't exactly thinking with a clear conscience right now. I knew I could take care of myself, I wasn't going to be that reckless. Afterall, Xion would kill me before he'd let me leave Danielle alone in this world.

'Damn right I would.'

I huff in annoyance at him as I finish up where I was going, a small creek we have on the outskirts of the territory. It was near an area of unclaimed land, so I wasn't afraid of any other wolves being there besides rogues. But Xion has decent senses so I know he'd keep me aware.

'Dude. I know you're in a bad mood but piss off.'

'How can I not be?' I snarl as I pace back and forth, shaking my head, some fur getting in my eyes. 'She lied to me, Xion. She fucking talked to me for months, months and didn't tell me who she was.'
