Amazed

Chapter 6

"Now, all I want is a shower, something to eat and some snuggles with my really tallented big sister before head to bed. And tomorrow, thinking in nothing but Paris!"

It was really early when Danielle's alarm went off.

"Finally! Paris, here we go!" The cardiologist celebrated.
"Steph, come on, it's time to wake up!"
"Damn it D, you're still the same. Hahahha."
"What do you mean?"
"How on earth can someone wake up that early and be so fucking excited? Hahha, you're such a child 🤣🤣🤣."
"Oh my God, Steph, we're on vacation. And after a lifetime we're going on a trip together again. And we're going to Paris. I mean, how could I not be excited, ma belle?"
"Hahaha, you are amazing! I love your enthusiasm! I love you, little sister!" The orthopedist said genuinelly.
"I love you more! And you're the most amazing one!"

The sibilings got ready, had breakfast and headed to the hospital to see Mr Miller before their trip, and then, Randy and Kathie would take them to the airport. Their flight would departure at 12:04pm, so they had time enough.

As soon as they got at the hospital, both women headed into Mr Miller's room. After a soft knock on the door, both doctors got in...

"Good morning! How have you been?" Stephanie asked politely.
"Doctor Savre!" Dean greated both doctors.
"Hi Mr Miller. How are you feeling?"
"I'm good, thank you. But weren't you supposed to be travelling?" The man asked looking at both doctors in front of him.
"Actually our flight leaves only at 12:04pm. So we have time to come and see our favorite patient before we go." Danielle replied sympathizely.
"Oh, you're both so..."

The woman was interrupted by a loud noise, caused by the abrupt opening of the door...

"Danielle!"

Everyone in the room turned their gazes to the "invader". The blonde calmly, but with an impressive coldness, just said:

"First of all, for you, doctor Damon, it's doctor Savre, not Danielle..."
"Don't be ridiculous, you're my fiancee!"

The cardiologist laughed scornfully and continued talking:

"Second, I'm your EX FIANCEE, since the day I arrived at MY APARTMENT and caught you in MY BED with another woman lasting only two months for our wedding, saying things I refuse to repeat here out of respect for everyone here in this room. So, doctor Damon, you can treat me with the respect I demand not only as a human being, but also as your BOSS!"

Dean and his wife were outraged. How can this idiot do something like that to Danielle? She is so sweet, kind, humble, not to mention her beauty...

"And third, by what right do you enter our patient's room (pointing to Stephanie and herself) as if you were the owner of this hospital talking to me like that? Did you go crazy for good? Get the hell out of my sight right now before I fire you! If you want to talk to me, wait for me in front of my office, and as soon as I finish examining Mr Miller, I'll go after you!"

The man left. Danielle looked at her sister really embarassed. The older Savre knew her little sister needed her support. So, she just nodded her and smiled, showing she was there for her.

"Mr and Mrs Miller, I'm really sorry! I really don't know what to say. Please, forgive me for all this mess. I promise I will..."
"Hey, don't you ever be sorry for being this wonderful human being and doctor you are! The fault is his, not yours dear! I'm sorry for what you've been through, and I'm pretty sure you will find someone who really deserve you. But I'm also grateful for you have discovered he was cheating on you before your marriage. Please, don't you missunderstand me, but you deserve to be happy, doctor Savre!" Mrs Miller stated.

And Mr Miller added:

"And we can't obligate people to be inteligent, huh? It's clear doctor Damon is an asshole. So, doctor Savre, forget this idiot once for all and go after your happiness! And if you need someone to protect you, you can count on me!"

The blue-eyed girl's eyes were filled with tears. She couldn't believe how can good people cross our path and cheer us up even though they're fighting for their lives.

"Thank you so much. You are amazing!" The doctor said.
"No my dear. You and your sister are amazing! You both saved my husband's life. So we must thank you both."
We are glad we helped 😊." Stephanie said.
"Now you both get your way to the airport. Have a lot of fun, we'll be waiting for you!" Dean said.
"Thank you! Take care Mr Miller, and be prepared. When we come back, we're gonna fix you!"

After checking on his charge, they said their goodbyes and left. Stephanie was really angry. So was Danielle.

"Let's see what that stupid wants..." the younger sister said.
"Okay. Do you want me to go?"
"You can come if you want."
"Right, let's see this piece of shit." Said the older sister.
