Chapter 21

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Danielle didn't say a thing. She just stared at that italian goddess, admiring her and wondering how in the world could she be that lucky. She arrived in Paris completely humiliated by Grey's betrail, bruised, promising herself that she wouldn't get involved with anyone so soon, and look now...

Stefania on the other hand, seeing the blonde's lack of reaction, blamed herself...

"Bambina, perdonami! Non voglio constringerti a fare niente. Mi hai raccontato la tua storia e quanto sei ferita.... merda, sono così stupida!" (Bambina, forgive me! I don't want to pressure you into anything. You told me your story and how hurt you are... shit, I'm so stupid!)

Danielle was still quiet...

"Dimentica ciò che ho detto. Ti amo e posso aspettare tutto il tempo necessario. Hai tutto il tempo che vuoi bella, da te a tutto ciò che viene, tranne la solitudine. Promettimi solo che remarrai con me, senza etichette si non vuoi. Tutto quello che ti chiedo è il bagliore di un chiaro de luna, un sogno da sognare insieme..." (forget what I said. I love you! And I can wait as long as it takes. You have as much time as you want bella, from you, I can accept everything that comes, except loneliness. Just promise me you'll stay with me, no labels if you don't want to. All I ask of you is the glow of a moonlight, a dream to dream together...)

Suddenly the cardiologist managed to come out of her daydreams and seeing the despair of that wonderful woman, she opened a huge smile and said:

"Stef,  hey... I want it 😍😁!"
"What 😍😁? You want it bambina?"

The brunette's smile lit up in a way that Danielle couldn't describe and then the blue-eyed girl shed a tear...

The Ob/Gyn got up as soon as she saw her girlfriend  crying and quickly brought her to her chest, hugging her really tight and stroking her back while saying:

"Bambina, it's okay, I mean it! You don't have to do this if you don't want princess, I can wait..."
"No baby girl, you missunderstood me. These are tears of joy! Nobody has ever  treadted me like you do before! Stefania, by the sunlight that illuminates me, there is nothing more that fascinates me then seeing you arriving. Your taned skin, that beautiful smile of yours from ear to ear whenever you see me... now it takes my breath away! Love, you are my light! I know I told you I came here with no intention of getting involved with anyone, but it was before I met you! Since you came into my life, everything has changed! And now I am madly, hoplessly, completely in love with you! So, I don't need time to tell you HELL, YES!! I WANT TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!!!"

The italian wasted no time and kissed Danielle passionately. Both women smiled into the kiss. Danielle repeated during the kiss "I love you!" So Stefania. When air became necessary, the brunette pulled away and asked:

"Do we really have to go down right now, fidanzata?"
"Unfortunately yes. Although I'd love to stay and make love to you all day long, we need some real food for breakfast, beautiful."
"Aaaaaahhhhh, okay. 😞"
"Hahahaha. Hey, girlfriend, don't be sad. We gotta tell Stephanie the wonderful news!"
"Sí?"
"Sure! Stefania, I love you and I'm gonna scream for everyone to hear!"

The italian doctor couldn't help but smile in love.

"I love you too bambina! And I want the whole world to know that you are my girlfriend."
"Me too baby girl!"
"Okay. Let's go then, fidanzata!!!"

And the couple left to the hotel restaurant hand in hand, enjoying their new status.

Stephanie arrived right after them and as soon as she took a look at her sister, she already noticed that something was different...

"Good morning ladies."
"Good morning big sis."
"Good morning Steph."
"Okay... there's something going on here... you guys are... different, but in a good way. Come on D, spit!" The older Savre said.
"Fuck Steph, why do you have to know me that well?" The other surgeon complained.
"Hahahaha, I don't know. I just... know you very well darling. Now tell me!"

Danielle had a huge smile plastered on her face. So Stefania. Both women were mesmerized. Blue eyes lost in hazel ones, and hazel ones lost in the blue. They were in their own world..

"Earth calling Danielle!" The orthopedist joked.

And without taking her eyes off of Stefania, Danielle stated:

"We're dating! I mean, Stephanie, I want you to know that Stefania is, from this moment on, my girlfriend."
"Oh my Gosh, this is amazing! Come here girl, let me hug you!" The big sister said while hugged her little sister and her now sister-in-law.

Everybody was really happy. They were having their breakfast when Danielle's cell phone hand.

"Oh, it's dad..."
"Oh, good. Hang up!"
"Hi dad, how are you?"
"Hi my loves, how are my favorite girls?"
"We're great dad! And you? Mom?" The siblings replied at the same time.
"Oh, we're good. Dani, I'm calling because I'd like to ask you a favor."
"Sure dad. What is it?"
"Have you seen Stefania?"
"Yes dad! By the way, she's right here now and you're on speeker." The blonde said.
"Oh, great! Hi Stefania, good morning!"
"Hello Mr Savre... I-I mean, Randy. I'm great, and you?"
"I'm amazing daughter. Stefania, do you think you'd be able to move on to LA? Because if you want, the head of obstetrics is yours! I'm really impressed with your resume!"
"Oh my God, of course Randy! When do you need me?"
"I thought I'd make an appointment with you when the girls come back from their trip. You could come with them. What do you say?"
"Perfetto!" (Perfect)
"Okay doctor Spampinato, I can't wait to have you here with us!"
"Me neither, doctor Savre!"
"Great! Enjoy your vacation."
"Thank you so much doctor... I mean, Randy."
"See you soon Stefania!"
"Dad, you couldn't bring better news, but I have a wonderful one too!" Danielle said smiling huge.
"Really princess? Tell us."
"Well, I think this partnership goes far beyond professionalism..."
"Really? Tell me more, honey."
"Stefania and I... we're in love and we're dating dad! 😍😍🥰🥰"
"Oh Lord, this day couldn't be better! Congratulations my girls!!!!!"
"Stefania, I think this changes a little our relationship..."

The italian was confused. So Danielle and Stephanie.

"I mean, from this moment on, you're my daughter too! Stefania, welcome to the hospital and to the family!" The old man cheered.
