Chapter 82

"Danielle immediately took the object and opened it, and what she found in the box surprised everyone."

"Whatnm is in there, Danielle?" Randy asked nervously when he saw his daughter's face, completely stunned.

The blue-eyed girl looked from the photo inside the box to her girlfriend and they both wondered how this was possible.

"Bambina... what does that mean?"
"I don't know my love, but I swear for God,  I will find out!"

Randy then came over and took the picture from his daughter's hand and was astonished too.

Detective Cruz had no idea of what was making the 3 doctors so surprised, so he asked:

"Can anyone tell me what's going on? Doctor Savre,  I don't understand..."
"Danielle, I want you to take Stefania to my office right now! When you get there, call your mother, your sister and Connor immediately, and ask them to go there right now. I'm on my way with detective Cruz.  Just go. I will explain him everything."

The cardiologist did what she was told and left with her girlfriend.

"Doctor Randy,  what is going on?"
"Detective, do you recognize this sewer rat?"
"Let me see... Yes! It's doctor Damon,  Danielle's ex fiancee..."
"Exactly!"
"And who the hell is this bitch?" The police officer asked, trying his best to understand the whole situation.
"She is none other than Stefania's ex fiancee. The problem is that she came from Italy  recently. How does she know Grey to the point of making out with him like that?"
"Fuck me..."
"More than that, who the fuck sent this picture to doctor Spampinato? Look at what is written on the back..."

🗨 You and Danielle are great people. Be careful, because your all care isn't enough. You might be in danger.

"Detective Cruz,  I want protection for my family. And that includes doctor Spampinato  and doctor Rhodes."
"Of course, you don't need to worry about that. For today I will take you all to spend the night in a safe place. I need more time to organize a good security scheme."
"Okay.  Let's go to my office. We can discuss this with the others."
"Okay. "

Both men went to Randy's office, where they found everyone there. Kathie was really worried about Stefania. Who was visibly shaken.

"Calm down, baby. We're gonna overcome all this shit, whatever it is." Danielle said caressing her girlfriend's face.
"Bambina, this woman has taken a lot from me! I won't let her take you..."
"Stef, Stef, my love, look at me. I won't leave you! I won't go anywhere without you! I don't know what the hell is going on, but I know perfectly good that I won't leave you. You understand me?"
"Yes. But what does this bastard want from me?"
"Baby, I have no idea, but Grey wants the same from me."
"Bella, I never knew Catarina had come to the USA... and now I find out that she already knows your ex fiancee? And they not only know each other, they're making out! Che cazzo sta succedendo, amore mio?" (What the fuck is going on, amore mio?)
"I don't know my love. I also never knew that Grey had ever been to Italy... that's really awkward! But that's not the only thing that's leaving me intrigued..."
"What is it, bambina?"
"Love, who sent this to you? Because they clearly wanted to warn you. Why they didn't send it to me, since you said something right, which is a fact by the way, you know almost no one here in LA. Why not identify itself and why say that you would know who would be when you opened the package?"
"This is exactly  what we're asking ouserlves, daughter." Randy said catching the couple's attention.
"Randy, I'm sorry..."
"Stefania, my daughter, there is nothing to apologize for. This is a surprise for all of us, my dear!"
"I don't know what is going on. How did Catarina find me? Why is she after me? What is this damn relationship with that bastard Grey Damon? And why are they chasing me?" The hazel-eyed girl was devastated.
"We don't know yet. But we're going to find it out. I promise!" The hospital owner stated.
"Okay." That was all the italian managed to say.
"And where are those damn security camera images?" The neurosurgeon was really pissed.
