Chapter 53

"She's my only one! I promise I will be everything she wants and needs! My precious jewel! (The italian said it staring at the cardiologist who smiled in love)"

Danielle had teary eyes. So Stefania. The blonde pulled her girlfriend for a tight hug, and when their bodies colided, the cardiologist kissed her girlfriend with so much love.

"I love you in every way! I love every detail of you, my princess! I love when you smile at me, I love the way you look at me, touch me, protect me. You, Stefania, without a doubt, are my best gift!"

After the surgeon's words, the Ob/Gyn couldn't help some tears. They kissed once again and when Danielle was up to say something, Daniela said:

"I'd like to ask for a minute of your attention."

Everyone looked at her.

"Stef, sorellina.... I have no words to tell you how happy I am for you. I look at you and I see a sweet woman,  but at the same time so strong! You face the worse phase of your life with such courage and dignity, my sister! This is for few. Even when you had everything to surrender, to feel defeated in the midst of the pain of losing our mamma plus the disappointment with an ungrateful and mean woman, you rose again. And the reward came in the best way possible! You found this wonderful woman that is Danielle! A person who loves you above all, who is always ready to protect you at any cost. Someone who showed that love has no right day or time to happen, on the contrary,  it usually happens in the most unexpected places and moments. In one of our conversations, I asked her: Dani, what is your favorite sound that you can listen all the time? And with a huge sparkle in her eyes and the most charming smile I've ever seen in my life, she answered me: Stef's voice! At this moment I knew it, my sister! It's her! She is your present, your future. Our mamma, wherever she is now, is certainly very happy and proud of you, bambina! Dani, my dear sister-in-law, today we want to pleasure you with the symbol of true love for our family, because we're sure that you are everything we could wish for our Stefania, bella!"

The blue-eyed girl could barely contain her emotions. So, Daniela and Vicenzo approached and gave a box to the cardiologist, who could no longer hold back her tears. When she opened it up, she found a bracelet of platinum full of small diamonds and between any diamond, small hearts made of white gold.

"Oh my Gosh!" The ocean-eyed girl said smiling and crying at the same time. "This is beautiful!"

Stefania felt her heart pounding inside her chest. All the suffering was rewarded.

"This jewel is for you to never forget how precious your love is and that it will always need care to stay beautiful, figlia mia. (My daughter). I have no words to tell you how grateful I am for having you in Stefania's life. The love you feel for each other is a treasure and honestly I've only seen it once in my life!" Vicenzo said it with a longing voice. "Sì, figli miei, l'amore che provano Stef e Dani, l'ho visto solo diviso tra me e vostra mamma. Quindi so, Stefania, che è radiosa ovunque si trovi, perché sa che un amore come questo è único e che nostra figlia è stata benedetta con qualcosa di così straordinario, proprio come noi due." (Yes my children, the love that Stef and Dani feel, I only saw it shared between me and your mom. The couple was already visibly emotional, with all the words said by Daniela and Vicenzo, but when the italian man quoted Lucia, Stefania's mom, the Ob/Gyn couldn't contain herself anymore, and sobbed in her girlfriend's arms, who caressed her back, trying to comfort her lover.

While trying to calm Stefania, Danielle said to her father-in-law:

"Papà, amo tua figlia più di quanto avessi mai pensato fosse possibile amare chiunque! Lei è il mio mondo, la mia vita! Definisco l'amore come qualcosa di intenso e profundo, ma quello che provo per lei va ben oltre è inspiegabile! Quando guardo Stef, vedo la parte migliore di me! Il suo sorriso è diventato lá ragione del mio. Nei suoi occhi vedo dalla più piccola Stella a una pioggia di meteorito! Nemmeno l'infinito può misurare il mio amore per questa donna straordinaria!
Amore, voglio riscrivire le stelle al tuo fianco e mostrare al'universo tutto il nostre amore, poiché l'unico  corpo celeste che voglio studiare sei tu! La mia vita era come un vuoto totale nello spazio, soprattutto dopo tutto quello che è sucesso, ma poi sei arrivato a riempire il vuoto nel mio cuore! Ti amo, mia preziosa gioiella!" (Daddy, I love your daughter more than I ever thought it was possible to love anyone! She's my world, my life! I define love as something intense and deep, but what I feel for her goes far beyond that, it's inexplicable! When I look at Stef, I see the best part of me! Her smile became the reason for mine. In her eyes I see from the smallest star to a meteor shower! Not even infinity can measure my love for this extraordinary woman!
Love, I want to rewrite the stars by your side and show the universe all our love, since the only celestial body I want to study is you! My life was like a total void in space specially after everything that happened. But then you arrived filling the void in my heart! I love you, my precious jewel!)

The hazel-eyed girl smiled crazy in love while some stubborn tears insisted on falling.

"Bambina...there're a lot of reasons for me to love you, but I'll do my best to keep it simple. I love you because you can bring me out of my sadness and make me the happiest person in the world with just a smile. I love you because you make me want to be a better person. I love you because of how you make me feel even when you're not around. And I love how you make me feel like I'm  home. But I love the small things too, like how my hand fits perfectly in yours,  how nice and sweet your voice is, how soft your lips are, and honestly, I know I'm in love because I notice small things about you. I notice the freckles in your face after a day in the sun, how pretty the colors of your eyes are, how amazing your smile is. Also when I'm able to make you laugh I feel so accomplished because I know that I'm the reason you smiled. Every minute of it. I love you so much, bambina! You never left my mind since the day I met you!"

Both women had teary eyes but a huge smile on their faces. After all those words of pure love, they finally surrended to their will and kssed passionately, completely ignoring the others. There were only them in their bubble. So when they broke the kiss, Salvatore proposed a toast to the love and happiness of his sister and Danielle. Everyone toasted happily and then Vicenzo invited everyone to go to the dining room, where the lasagna would be served.

The cardiologist's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when she found out they were going to be eating lasagna. Stefania couldn't contain her laughter as she approached kissing her girlfriend's cheek saying:

"Sometimes I think you love lasagna more than me."

The blonde then looked her girlfriend in the eye and said:

"My love, this is impossible! Lasagna would never make me cum the way only you can do. Hahahaaha."
"Oh, so it's only my skill with my fingers and my tongue that you..."

Danielle kissed her girlfriend's lips  silencing  her immediately 

"Of course not, my love! I'm just teasing you. You know that nothing in this world comes close to your feet, and it's not just because of your skills in bed, which in fact, drives me to the edge of insanity!"
"Oh, do I drive you insane?" The brunette asked all silly.
"You know you do!"
"Oh, now I'm full of.myself..."
"You really should be, amore mio!"
"Ok. Then be prepared, after this, I'm gonna take you to the stars!"
"I can't wait!"
"I love you, Dani!"
"I love you too, Stef. So much!"
