"Not that this is anyone's business here, but just to make things clear, doctor Spampinato  was already negotiating her contract with this hospital for over 6 months. So, no, she didn't win this post because of her status as my daughter's girlfriend, but for her reputation and competence which proceds her."

Randy made a point of giving this statement because he noticed that some doctors, led by Grey, started some buzz after hearing what Danielle said.

"And just to make things even clearer, since the time when I was just the director of this institution, to be part of our clinical staff, you must be competent. Even my daughters. Actually, specially them. To get where they are, they had to prove their worth. That means that I don't care about kinship, friendship or anything like that to get a job on the clinical staff at MY HOSPITAL. (The older Savre stated addressing Grey and his friends). So, if you want a future here, recycle yourself, prove that you deserve to be here. I won't tolerate any kind of gossip about doctor Spampinato's hiring. I believe that everyone here knows her accomplishments in obstetrics, and that is why she's now in charge here. Are we clear?"

Everbody understood the boss, even those who was starting the rumours with Grey. Doctor Ludington was amazed by the idea of being tutored by none other than the legend of gynecology and obstetrics.

🗨 And now, no less important than the arrival of doctor Spampinato, I am pleased to introduce you another important hiring for LAC + USC MEDICAL CENTER - GENERAL HOSPITAL, who is joining and brightening the cardiothoracic team, doctor Connor Rhodes. Randy a nouced again already adding:

"Doctor Rhodes, know that your sister-in-law and new boss is one of the most demanding cardiothoracic surgery bosses in this country. I know that your curriculum and competence preceds you,  otherwise I would never accept your hiring. In other words, I wanna say: Stefania, Connor, welcome to the hospital!"

Everyone applauded the newly arrived doctors, happy and excited to get to know them better. Only one doctor was worried and very uncomfortable  with the new hires: doctor Grey Damon.

After the introductions, Randy took Stefania to the midwifery area and started to fill her in on everything she needed to know, while Danielle did the same for Connor. The Savre sisters agreed to meet their lovers for a lunch together, and saying goodbye with a briefing peck, they left.

"Stefania, my daughter, I'm so sorry for the way doctor Damon behaved earlier. I jope this haven't caused any problems between you and Danielle."
"Oh daddy, absolutely. Don't worry at all. Danielle and I are perfectly okay 🥰. She was also really concerned, but I saw everything and I know it wan't her fault. We've already talked and we're better than ever!"

💬 Thanks God! "I told Dani to fire this idiot, but she's afraid of what people will say..."

"Yeah, I know. And honestly, I think she's right, Randy.
"Yes, I know she is. I wish I could protect you both from that... for that reason, I made a point of making it very clear that you're here on your own merit, not as being the girlfriend of the head of cardiothoracic. I hope you're not affected by Grey's poison..."
"Hey, dad, it's okay. I mean it! Actually Dani and I had a conversation about this yesterday. She was concerned about what people could say, about her ex... but I assured her I don't care about people's opinion. It doesn't matter. That is their opinion, not my truth. Honestly, the only person I care about is her. If she's okay,  I am too! In fact, Dani's statement wasn't on impulse. We had already agreed to make it clear to everyone that we are a couple in love, so don't worry. I'm fine and ready to face anything for her."
"Stef, love is more than just a feeling. It's a choice you make to stand by someone no matter what. When you choose to love, you commit to supporting them through all life's ups and downs. Love isn't about attraction or infatuation, it's about being there for someone through everything. And I can see all that in you. And I'm glad my daughter has finally found someone who really loves her, not for what she can offer, but for what she is. The italian had teary eyes when she replied:

"Randy, Danielle is the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my life! But I'm not only impressed by her physical beauty. Not anymore! Of course, I'm really lucky for Dani being that goddess, but her inteligence, her intellect, her ability to connect with someone, her ability to have deep meaningful conversations... this impresses me! I'm impressed by her vulnerability, by her ability to express her feelings, even after all that she's been through. I'm impressed by our emotional connection! Not to mention her kindness, her good heart and open soul. This is what makes me fall in love all over again with her every single day since we first met."
"Stef, both of you were really unlucky in your previous relationships. And you both had all the reasons in this world to lock your hearts for love and throw the keys. Thanks God you found each other and managed to overcome all the barriers that could prevent you from being together."
"Yeah, looks like we made it, huh 🥰?"
"Yes, you really made it. And I couldn't be happier! Because there is nothing as beautiful as seeing someone who has been unlucky in relationships, finally being loved effortelessly by the right person. And you are "the" each other's right person, my daughter!"

Both, the Ob/Gyn and the neurosurgeon had teary eyes as they embraced. Their souls knew that finally everything was starting to settle. This was the calming coming after the storm. A well deserved calm, by the way.

"Randy, I think I'd better start working, or I'll start crying here, plus... I can't be late. My girl will be waiting for me for lunch... 🥰"
"Oh my God. I can't even dream being among you and your girlfriend! Hahahahaha"
"Hahahahha, I must confess I'm already missing her..."
"Hey, you're just a few inches away. Nothing stops you from sneaking between one patient and another just for a kiss, huh? But don't tell anyone I not only just allowed it, but I suggested it! If this fashion catches on, this hospital will become a mess! Hahahahha." The older Savre said winking at his daughter-in-law.
"Perfetto! Ho adorado il tuo suggerimento! E pois stare certo che lo farò. E non lo dirò a nessuno, questo sarà il nostro segreto! Hahahaha." (I loved your suggestion! And you can be sure I will do that. And I won't tell anyone, this will be our secret!) The brunette winked back.
"Deal! Now I'm gonna let you do your magic. Don't hesitate to call me if you need me, Stef."
"I won't Randy. Thank you!"

When the old man was leaving, they heard a familiar voice...

"Oh, now I know where are you!"

Stefania immediately smiled in love.

"Amore mio, I missed you!"
"Well, you girls know where to find me. See you."
"See you, dad." They answered in unisson.
"I just came for a little kiss and to say that I can't wait for lunch time 🥰🥰🥰"
"Oh, are you already hungry, doctor Savre?" The brunette teased.
"Starving! But not for food..." The cardiologist stated staring at her girlfriend.
"Me too! What about you come for an appointment..."
"Stef, you're such a tease, you know that?"
"Not as much as you, bambina!"
"Love, God knows that this is all I want the most, but unfortunately I can't now... forgive me!"
"Hey bella. I'm just teasing you. It's okay. I love you and I wish I could be glued in you lile a koala, but I have to work as well, bambina."
"Like a koala? Hahahahaha."
"Sì. Completely snuggled on you!"
"Mmmm I love that! Tonight I want my koala!"
"You're gonna have it! Only for you, amore mio!"
"Promise?"
"With all my heart!"
"Okay. I can't wait! Now, we'd better get to work, otherwise we won't be able to have lunch together."
"Good. 'Cause I won't be able to stay away from you for that long!"
