Chapter 84

"Okay.  Let's eat. Danielle said looking forward the dessert."

The Savre family, Stefania and Connor had lunch in a little bit tense atmosphere.  Everyone was wondering if Sandra was a atrustworthy person.  Danielle couldn't explain why, but somehow she trusted the woman. Suddenly the blonde said:

"Dad, ask detective Cruz to arrange a meeting for me and Sandra, please."

Stefania was the first one to speak:

"What? Bambina, no. It is too dangerous! We don't know what this woman's real intentions are..."
"Stefania is right Dani..." Randy just said.
"No. There will be no danger. Let's make an appointment at my office. You will be there, the police as well. Futhermore, it's a place that favours us, not her. There's no way she can do anything. "

Kathie, Randy and Stefania were afraid until Stephanie spoke out.

"You know what? That might be a good idea."

Connor, who was quiet until then, questioned:

"What do you mean, my love?"
"Guys, think with me. Danielle is the only one between all of us who has indeed talked to this woman, so she has good chances to "read" her. Of course, I'm against you doing this without any kind of care, but I think we can manage to make this happen... you said Scott is helping that son of a bitch, right dad?"
"Apparently Yes. Why?"
"Dani, who's the responsible for the roster of nurses in the cardiology surgical center?"
"Mmm... it's nurse Travis."
"Montgomery?" Connor asked.
"Exactly."
"He seems to be a good man."
"Okay, can you contact Travis asking him to give Scott the day off today?"
"Y-yes..." The blue-eyed girl replied curious.
"Good. Dad, call detective Cruz asking him to bring Sandra today to meet Danielle. But it won't be in your office, little sis. Tell him to bring her to mom's office, pretending to be interested  in having a plastic surgery."
"I think I've got your point..." Danielle said smiling.
"Exactly. We get Scott out of the hospital,  this ensures that Grey won't know about anything. Taking Sandra to the hospital, the advantage is ours, because we know that place like the back of our hands and she doesn't. Therefore, the police and us can be strategically hidden, placed in order to guarantee Dani's safety, and detectice Cruz will surch her, obviously, to ensure that she's not carring any type of weapon or device that could harm Dani."

The cardiologist was really satisfied with her big sister's plan.

"Yeah... that might work..." Randy said thoughful.
"Dani, are you sure you want to talk to this woman again?" Kathie asked concerned.
"Yes mom, I'm pretty sure!"
"Bambina, there is just one condition..."
"Which one, my love?"
"I will be there with you. And that's not negotiable! I will never allow you to stay alone with her. Not until we find out her real intentions."
"Sure baby. I will feel safer with you there!"
"Good!" The italian stated in her protective mode activated.
"Okay, let's put this plan into action." Randy said.

Danielle called Travis. Randy called detective Cruz, explained him everything  and waited for the police officer to return.

A few minutes later, Cruz returned Randy's call confirming the meeting. Everything was ready, now they just had to go to the hospital.

The Savres, Stefania, Jaina and Connor arrived first and prepared everything for the upcoming date. Aftet about 30 minutes, the police officer arrived with Sandra.  Kathie's secretary anounced them and the plastic surgeon asked them to wait a little bit. The others headed to the next office through the internal door that connected the two rooms. But before leaving, the plastic surgeon called her secretary asking Sandra to enter.

Danielle had already left the door ajar. When Sandra and Cruz got in front of the office, she knocked and the ocean-eyed girl said:

"Come in!"

Stefania was really nervous. She couldn't let go off her girlfriend.

"Doctor Savre!"
"Sandra, how are you?"
"I'm good, thanks for asking. And you?"
"I'm good too! I want to introduce you my beautiful girlfriend, doctor Stefania Spampinato."
"Piacere! I mean, nice to meet you!" The brunette said nervously.
"Nice too meet you too!"
"Please, take a sit." The cardiologist said showing the woman the chair.
"Oh, thank you."
"Sandra, what is going on? Why did you send that package to my girlfriend? And how did you know about Stefania?" The blonde asked politely, but equally curious.

The chinese woman told Danielle everything she knew.

"I'm sorry, I know I had probably scared you, doctor Spampinato. After all, we don't usually receive packages from strangers with such... personal content, I understand. But please, I ask that you accept my most sincere apologies, I never intended to scare you or Dr. Savre. But I was scared that someone would see me here and tell gray..."
"It's okay, Sandra. Now things are making much more sense. And I'm really grateful to you." Said the italian.
"And do you have any idea of who is this woman?" Danielle asked.
"Unfortunately not. To be honest, I couldn't see her face very well, because I didn't want Grey to see me. I just took this picture, because I wanted to know who
the hell is her and when I heard Grey telling her all that he told, I decided to find a way to let you know..."
"I really appreciate that, Sandra,  but... why?"
"Doctor Savre..."
"Oh no, please, call me Danielle. "
"Okay, Danielle. When that terrible thing happened, you treated me well, despite of the situation. You listened to me and understood me. I was amazed by your beautiful soul..."
"Okay... and do you think that you can try to get some more informations about this woman?" Stefania asked.
"Yes, I can try!"
"Sandra, this is not necessary. To be honest, doctor Savre,  doctor Spampinato,  I've found it out..."
"Did you?" Stefania and Danielle asked at the same time.
"Yes."
Tell us..."
"Sandra, I need to know... are you really willing to help? The policeman asked.
"Of course! Look, I'm not a rich woman. On the contrary, I've always worked to support myself. I have never taken advantages of anyone in this life and much less had been with commited men, whether they are married, engaged or something similar. If I mantained a relationship with Grey until that day, it was because he made me believe he was single. I came from humbles origins, but my parents always taught me to have respect for others, to be a decent woman. And I'm so sorry doctor... i mean, Danielle,  for not having noticed Grey 'S whole disgust lie sooner! I never intended to make you any harm!"
"Never mind sandra. Don't worry. To be honest, you ended up helping me!"
What?"
"Yes, if it wasn't for you, I'd probably be married to Grey. I would be the most unhappy person in this world. But thanks to you, I finally understood that there was no reason to continue in a relathionship that didn't bring me happiness. I broke up with Grey, travelled and found the love of my life. So, I'm grateful to you for that, sandra!"

The three women there talked for a while until detective Cruz said:

"Ladies, let's deve-se some strategies to catch this motherfucker!"
"Sure!"
"But tell us, detective, who is this misterious woman?" Danielle asked really curious."
"Okay... her name is Catarina Scorsoni. She's italian.

Upon hearing that name, Stefania almost fainted. It was confirmed, it was that dispicable women for real!

"Oh my God, Stef!" Dani held her girlfriend in her arms and with the help of Cruz, she placed her in the stretcher.
"What is going on?" Sandra asked.

Stefania was in shock...

"Detective, are you sure?" The blue-eyed girl asked.
"Yes. A hundred percent! After talking to Sandra and she telling me about this woman, I went back to the police station and looked at the visitors records.  And there was her name. So, I looked for her passport photo in the system and showed it to the jailer on the day, who confirmed with total certainty that it was her. Why? Who is this woman? Do you know her?"
"Not exactly, I just saw her once in my life. She is none other than Stefania's ex fiancee."
