"Oh. When she smiled at me she took all my stress away, she left me breathless and made my heart skip some beats. Believe me, she is the one!"

After their shifts, the two doctors went together to the Savre family house. They arrived and went straight to take a shower together, which obviously didn't end before they reached 3 orgasms each.

They were so happy that they oozed all this happiness through their pores. Stefania called her sister to let them know that their house was finally ready, but that she and Danielle had decided to move in for the weekend. The Spampinato family celebrated the couple's happiness. After saying goodbye, the doctors went down with a bottle if wine to celebrate the news.

Everyone was happy, and Stephanie was mysterious. Danielle noticed and made a mental note to ask her sister what was going on. After dinner, everyone was talking excitedly about the couple's move to their new place when Stefania's cell phone rang. It was from the hospital asking her to go back there immediately, as a patient arrived in a critical condition and doctor Ludington asked to call her mentor. The italian asked to borrow her girlfriend's car and immediately went there.

As soon as she arrived, Camila was already presenting the case:

"Brenda Prior, 27 years old. 34 weeks pregnant. Has Been showing signs of pré eclampsia during prenatal care. Victim of assault and was admited here with severe abdominal pain, including the stomach. Blood pressure 264x180, nausea, changes in vision and mental state. While she was on triage, she had a seizure, which we controlled with diazepan, but she had 2 more seizure episodes. Cardiotocography shows altered fetal heartbeat, sugesting fetal distress..."
"Merda!!! (Shit) these are symptoms of eclapsia. What was given for blood pressure control?"
 
The obstetrics resident continued to envolve the patient to Stefania, who was requesting lab tests. She herself also did an ultrasound and found that there was a placental detachment. 

💭 Merda! (Shit!) This can't get  any worse?" The doctor thought.

Little did she know...

Suddenly the patient had a cardiac arrest. Stefania  revived her but asked them to call Danielle immediately.

💭 Damn it, I came with her car...

"Molly, take my cell phone, call Danielle and put it on speaker, please. Fast!!!"

📞 Hi my love, is everything okay?
📞Bambina, I need you here at the hospital right now! The patient had a series of complications, including a cardiac arrest. She is completely decompensated, hemodynamically, cardiologicaly... The situation is critical!"
📞I'll be there in less than 10 minutes."

Stefania continued the lifesaving procedures for mother and baby, and when Danielle arrived, they went straight to the operating room.

It was a complicated delivery, not only because the patient had eclampsia, but also because of her heart condition, but the mother was stable in the ICU.

The baby, a premature beautiful little girl, went straight to the neonatal intensive care unit, but she was fine. All expectations at that moment were focused on Brenda. Stefania and Danielle spared no efforts to save the mother's life, as the little baby would need her mom more than ever.

Despite all the adversities, Brenda was stable and so, both doctors returned home leaving instructions to notify them immediately if there was any intercurrence. On their way back, the couple was talking about the emergency they attended.

"Love, that was close! Did you already know this patient?"
"Yes bambina. It really was! I know her by sight, because she's Camila's patient. But doctor Ludington had already discussed this case with me, she was already showing symptoms of pre-eclampsia..."
"Wow... but what happened? Misconduct, baby?"
"Oh no. Not at all. Don't worry, princess. Doctor Ludington did the right thing all the time. The problem is that Brenda was assaulted today, and probably the stressful situation triggered all this, since her blood pressure rose too much.
"Oh my God... poor woman.  "
"Sí.."  (yes)
"I hope she reacts well and recovers soon to take care of that little princess." The blue-eyed girl said melting as she remembered the face of the little girl who came into the world at the hands of the woman of her life.
"She will, amore mio. She has to. Hey...  someone is melting all over a little bambina? 😊🥰" The hazel-eyed girl said melting as well.
"I must admit I'm mesmerized, amazed by her. Those tiny little eyes, that little hand... and did you see? She was crying a lot, love, and as Brenda was unconscious, she couldn't touch her daughter, and that's when my heart melted, princess. When I held her little hand, she immediately stopped crying... 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰"
"I saw it, amore mio. And it still moves me so much..."

They continued talking until they got home.

As soon as they arrived, Stephanie came to see if everything had gone well. Stefania explained that yes, and that the next 24 hours would be crucial. Connor came right behind Stefania, and Danielle thanked her brother - in - law for the ride. After really stressful hours, the couple ate a sandwich and headed to their room.

"I didn't know it was possible to fall in love even more..." Danielle said hugging her girlfriend.
"Oh, and you fell in love even more? The italian teased.
"Absolutely, doctor Spampinato. Seeing you saving that mother and that baby... your calm in those critical moments... wow, I'm so proud of you, my love!"
"Can you imagine how proud I am of you, princess? My patient was practically dead, which would mean that little bambina would grow up without  her mama, and then you arrived and with all your talent you did what seemed impossible.  You revived the mother's heart without harming (or killing) the daughter.  I fell even more in love with you at that moment, principessa! (Princess) if that is possible."
"I think we're a perfect match, don't you think?" The cardiologist asked in love.
"Definitely! But I think that now we can put work aside for a little while, don't you think? I miss my beautiful fidanzata!" (Girlfriend). Stefania stated throwing Danielle on the bed and climbing on top of her, already kissing her urgently.

The blonde was already opened up to her girlfriend, whispering words of love in the italian's ear, encouraging her to continue.

"Oh my God, Stef, you're so hot!"
"Not as hot as you, Dani!"

In a few minutes the clothes were already scattered on the floor and their naked bodies were already mixed in a sweet back -  and - forth movement.

After cuming hard, the couple fell asleep, overcame by fatigue. The next day, both doctors went to the hospital early to see Brenda and the baby. They found Jaina in the NICU hallway and went to talk to their friend.

"Jai, is everything okay?"
"Yes, perfect! I heard about the patient yesterday and I came to check the baby..."
"Really? And how is she?"
"She's perfect! Excelent! It doesn't even look like she was born in the frightening conditions of last night..."

The couple smiled in satisfaction.

"Yeah, she's a warrior!" Danielle said smiling  like a fool.
"Hold on. Who are you? Give me my friend back!" Jaina teased Danielle.
"Hahahahah what do you mean?" Stefania asked curious.
"It's just that this one here always rans away from children." Jaina explained. "And now you're all silly with this baby? What has changed?"

The brunette smiled in love and hurried to answer proudly:

"I think it's love..." and kissed her girlfriend's lips.
"Stef, you changed my friend a lot. For the better! Thanks a lot!"
"Hahahah, I don't know if all the credit goes to me... actually, Danielle got really moved when the little bambina was crying nonstop and silenced herself immediately when she held Danielle's hand..."
"Ah, but of course the credit is all yours, Stef. Danielle has been all silly since she met you."
"Hey, will you both stop talking like I'm not here? Hahahahahah. Yes, you have everything to do with my change, love! Today I'm a much better person because I have you by my side!"
"Aaaaahhhhh, let me go before I have a glycemic spike here!!!! Hahahahaha. I'm going back to my little ones. See you later."

When the pediatrician left, the couple went to see the little baby and then they headed to their offices. But on their way, Danielle asked:

"Honey, do you want to have children?"
"With you? I want everything life wants to give me. And you?"
"To be honest, I never wanted to, but seeing this little girl... it made me think that with you, I would face this motherhood aventure."
"We're going to mature this idea, bambina. But for now, I want you only for myself. I'm still not ready to share my fidanzata (girlfriend) with anyone. I love you, bambina!"
