Chapter 73

"I love you more, amore mio. Forever and ever!"

The days passed by and Danielle and Stefania were happier than ever. Everything was perfect. The italian was perfectly adapted to the hospital and was showing to be more and more competent every day, not only as head of obstetrics, but also as the excelent doctor that she is.

Renovations to their home were coming to an end and the couple couldn't be happier and more excited to move intovthe place of their dreams. Obviously, meeting between the Ob/Gyn and the cardiologist in the hospital brake rooms happened frequently as they were unable to stay away from each other for long periods of time.

Around lunch time, Jaina went to see her best friend at her office.

"Can I come in?" The pediatrician asked.
"Of course! You don't even have to ask!" The blonde replied with a large smile
"How have you been? We've been so busy, I've barely had time to say hello lately."
"I'm great! I'm so happy that I don't know how to describe it! Stefania is the personification of happiness. She's a dream, Jai! I'm so in love with her... I love her enough to fight for her, compromisse to her and sacrifice myself for her if it's necessary. Enough to miss her incredibly when we're apart, no matter what length of time it is for and regardless of the long distance, after all, we work in the same hospital... I love her enough to believe in our relationship  (even though we have known each other for such a short time, it seems to me, that we have known for an eternity), to stand by it through the worst of times, to have faith in our strenght as a couple and to never give up on us! I love her enough to spend the rest of my life with her, be there for her when she needs or wants me and never ever want to leave her, or to live without her. I love her this much, Jai! 🥰🥰"
"My Gosh... D, I'd say that Stefania has the key to your heart, but she never needed it, did she?" The pediatrician asked really happy for her friend.
"Nah! From the start I knew I could leave it open for her." The blue-eyed girl replied in love.
"Well, I had to give it a little push, didn't I?" Stephanie said amused entering her sister's office.
"Yes, it's true. I was a little scared... but I'm glad you opened my eyes my dear sister." Danielle said smilling.
"The pleasure was mine! Dani, let's have lunch all together? Me, Connor, Stefania,  you and you, Jai?"
"Oh, for me, that sounds great! Let me..." The broad smile fadad from the cardiologists's face.
"Hey, what is going on, D?" Stephanie and Jaina asked at the same time when they saw the blonde's face.
"Oh... it seems this is gonna be just us..."
"What do you mean?"
"Stefania just texted me... an emergency C-section..." The ocean-eyed girl showed her cell phone to Steph and Jaina pouting.
"Oh my God, por Danielle..." The orthopedist teased her little sister.
"Steph..."

Everyboy laughed non-stoping.

"She touched me without even needing to touch in me...🥰"
"We.know that, little girl. I'm just teasing you."
"Okay, at what time should we go for lunch?"
"Aaahhh you can go. I'm gonna stay here..."
"No way! Stefania would kill me if she knows you haven't had lunch." The older Savre stated.
"Then, don't tell her!"
"No way! You going without lunch isn't an option  at all. We're leaving in 5 minutes. you can bring food for your favorite obstetrician.  And don't you dare to find excuses to stay, otherwise, I'm gonna tell Stefania."

Danielle rolled her eyes and accepted to go...

Before leaving, the surgeon went to the gallery, where she saw the love of her life performing the C-section. The brunette felt her girlfriend's attentive and passionate look on her and when she looked up, she saw the pair of blue eyes that she loves the most in this world. A wide smile was inevitable towards the blonde, who smiled back in love.

"Love, I wanted to wait for you for lunch..." said the yougest doctor through the intercom.
"No bambina, this is gonna take a while. I need you to go with Steph and have lunch, okay?"
"But baby.. "
"No principessa, no buts. Please go. You need to eat."
"And what about you, my fresh breath of air?"
"I will have something when I'm done..."
"Okay. I will bring you something to eat..."

The hazel-eyed girl just glanced naughtly through the glass. That look made the blue-eyed girl shiver all over. They kept for a few seconds staring at each other passionately until the italian said:

"Go my love. You need to eat something and I need to concentrate here in my patient. See you later. I love you!"
"I love you more! Seenyou my love."

When the cardiologist was leaving, she heard her girlfriend saying:

"Hey bella!"

Danielle stopped and immediately turned to the glass again.

"Come back to me soon, amore mio!" The hazel-eyed girl said with a wink.

The blonde smiled in love and said:

"I will. I love you!" The surgeon mouthed back and sending Stefania a kiss, she left.

Danielle had a quick meal and then she left alone, because she wanted to take her girlfriend some pastan for lunch and some tiramisu for desert.

While waiting for the food to get ready, the blonde had an idea..  So she didn't hesitate  and bought it online, had it delivered to the hospital and hurried back as soon as she had everything in hands.

The head of cardiothoracic couldn't take the unbearable longing she felt for Stefania anymore.  So she planned to go straight to her girlfriend's office to surprise her. Little did she know that she was the one to be surprised.

As soon as she entered the hospital, Meg, the nurse told the Ob/Gyn that her girlfriend had arrived. The hazel-eyed girl ran to lock the door of her office and prepared herself for the much desired reunion with Danielle.  When the blue-eyed girl arrived, the door was already open, but when the smaller doctor entered and closed the door behind her, she had a vision of paradise: Stefania only in lingerie and lab coat, leaning against the exam table.
