Amazed

Chapter 39

"And Danielle sealed their lips, starting the greatest act of love in the world without worring about anything  or anyone else."

While they made love without limits, downstairs Stefania's father was restless, afraid of the diretion  their conversation might be taking.

"Salvatore, ti giuro, che se questo influisca sul rapporto di tua sorella, ti ammazzo, monello!" (I swear, if this affects your sister's relashionship, I'll kill you, brat!)
"Papá, non avevo idea che questa pazza sarebbe venuta qui e avebbre fatto una cosa del genere!" (Dad, I had no idea that this crazy woman would come here and do such a thing!)
"Guys, calm down. They're talking and everything will be fine. Everyone saw that it wasn't Stefania's fault. And more, the way she reacted. My sister won't be that stupid. Let's calm down and wait. Besides, Salvatore had no way of guessing what this stupid woman was willing to do." Stephanie said trying to easy the atmosphere, but also praying for her sister don't get carried away by jealousy.

Salvatore was feeling terrible.

"I think I'll go upstairs and explain to Danielle that if anyone is to blaime in this fucking mess, it's me. I was the idiot who said more than I should..."
"It's not necessary, Sal. I know it wasn't anyone's fault, much less Stefania's. And I also saw she didn't kiss that bitch back. On the contrary, she pushed that vagabond away and kicked her out of here. This, to me, worthes more than explanation!" The cardiologist stated, coming down hand in hand with her girlfriend.
"Dio mio, grazzie! (My God, thank you!) Vicenzo stated genuinely satisfied.
"Stef, sorellina, perdoname..." (Stef, little sis, forgive me...)
"It's okay, Sal." The Ob/Gyn stated.
"I swear, I had no idea. I would never do anything to harm you. And as for you Danielle, my sincere apologies. It was never my intention to cause this shit and hurt you or disrespect you!" Salvatore said embarassed.

Now it was the blonde's turn to speak.

"Sal, don't worry. Everything is allright. Stef and I, we're more than okay. I don't blaim you as well. No one could predict something like this..."
"If you're okay, why did you take so long? Stef, I didn't mean you both to fight..."

Hearing her brother's words gave the Ob/Gyn a mischievous smile, while the blonde blushed really hard.

Stephanie smiled, shaking her head. She approached her sister and whispered:

"You both are sex crazed! You addicts! Hahahahha. Not even here, in a shitty situation like that... do you think about something else? Hahahahhaha."

Daniela noticed and immediately tried to change the subject, but she couldn't help but laugh either.

Vicenzo came and higging his daughter asked:

"Bambina, is everything really okay?"
"Sì papá! Meglio che mai! (Yes dad. Better than ever!)

The old man smiled, kissed his daughter's forehead and then went to hug Danielle. He hugged and kissed his daughter-in-law's forehead and said:

"Grazie bambima! (Thank you bambina!)

The cardiologist was confused...

"Perchè signore Vicenzo?" (Why, Mr.Vicenzo)
"Per aver amato  mia figlia e anche per aver compreso tutta questa situazione. E per favore, non chiamarmi signore..." (for loving my daughter and also for understanding this whole situation. And please, don't call me sir...)

The blue-eyed girl looked for her girlfriend's eyes, trying to understand what's the man's point. The brunette lit up and hugging her girlfriend from behind and kissing her neck, she said:

"Bambina, actually the old Vicenzo wants you to call him daddy."
"Well, in that case... daddy, I have to thank you for the greatest lucky and such honor of having the love of your daughter. She is wonderful and perfect. The greatest gift that God could have given me!"

Stefania had teary eyes when she said:

"You are my God's gift. I love you so much, bambina! Happiness is you. It's loving and falling in love with you all over again every single day! Knowing that I have my soulmate who believes in me and who'll never give up on me, this is the plenitude of happiness. And I'm so grateful for this. I love you, amore mio!"

Now it was Danielle's turn to shed some tears...

"Stefania, you know very well we met at a very difficult time in my life. I no longer believed that happiness was possible for me. But then you arrived, literally stumbling and falling on me and that was the best thing that could have happened, my love!"
"Hahahhaa this is the first time I see someone think it's good that Stefania is so messed up!" Salvatore said amused.

Whithout taking her eyes off her girlfriend, the surgeon said:

"Sal, I wouldn't say she's clumsy, because your sister is the most beautiful and perfect thing in the world. But I thank God every single day that she tripped and fell on top of me. I think it was fate giving me a little hand." The blonde winked.
"I love you!" Stefania mouthed.
"I love you more!" Danielle mouthed back.

The mood was totaly different now than it had been a few minutes ago. Everyone was relaxed and talking animatedly. Both doctors didn't let go for a minite, they needed this contact more than ever.

"So aunt Stef, are you really moving to LA?" Vittoria asked.
"Si, bambina. When I met this kitten here, I knew I needed a job in LA to be able to be with her, because I just can't stay away from her anymore... so, coincidentally, they are in need of an Ob/Gyn at the hospital where Dani works..."

Before the brunette said anything else, Stephanie added:

"Stefania has a wonderuil resume. She's an amazing doctor."

So, the blonde sais as well:

"And I told our father, who is the director of this hospital, about Stefania being an obstetrician. So, he asked her to send him her resume, and after seeing everything thorougly, he did an online interview with this beautiful doctor and hired her. She thought old Randy only hired her because she's my girlfriend. But the truth is that my father never did and never would do something like that. He loves us with all his heart, but the quality and excellence of the clinical staff and the care consequently, of the hospital had always been above that. So, if this princess here today is part of the hospital's clinical staff, it's because she is the best! Full credit to her!" The cardiologist said proudly.
"Exactly! Dad would never hire someone just because we asked to. We, ourselves, to reach the head of orthopedics and cardiothoracic, had to prove that we were capable. So, Stef, congratulations!" The orthopedist said.

Everybody congrarulated the  italian.

"Zia Stef, sono molto felice per te. Ti meriti! Questo lavoro e più di ogno altra cosa, l'amore che hai trovato in Danielle. Ma mi mancherai!" (Aunt Stef, I'm so happy for you. You deserve this job and more than anything, the love you found in Danielle. But I'll miss you!) The girl said with teary eyes.

The italian shed some tears and said:

"Il tuo sostegno e il tuo affeto sono molto importanti per me, lo sai! E non pensare che non ti voglio lì, Vittoria, tutti voi!" (Your support and your affection is very important to me, you know that! And don't you think I won't want you there, Vittoria, all of you!)
"E quando devi essere lì, figlia mia?" (And when do you need to be there, my daughter?)
"Randy mi ha detto di andare con Dani e Steph in modo che tutti potissero godersi le vacanze. Sei meraviglioso!" (Randy told me to go with Dani and Steph, so everyone could enjoy the holidays. He is wonderful!)

And so they passed the day. Talking, having fun, enjoying the love that hovered in a wonderful environment. The deplorable episode already completely forfotten. All that mattered was the love that existed between them and the complete happiness they felt.
