Akina's POV
It had been long since we had all eaten our dinners and we still await my twin, who I now sense through the door, along with Botan. "It would seem they are beck after their food goes cold." Goro speaks out loud, making me nod at him and say, "My twin only comes when he decides, and Botan merely follows him when she wishes." I notice Keiko giving me a small glare, which leads me to turn and glare at her and watch as Shizuru nudges her. I raise my brow at this, and can sense that Goro is also not pleased with this. He was about to speak up on this until the door slams open and in stomps my dear twin.
"Yusuke?" I say as more of a question then I intend to as I slowly notice something perched on his head. Yusuke sits to my left side on the sofa, whilst Kurama is on my right, leaning forward so that he could continue to stare at the creature on my twin's head. "What?" Yusuke mutter's out without looking at anyone in the room. I stare at the creature on his head, taking in the sight of the blue penguin that seems to have flat ears that seem similar to that of the western famous elephant called Dumbo, who possessed large ears that could act as wings. He has a golden beak and a messy small patch of black hair that matches Yusuke's. "What is on your head?" I ask him calmly, whilst I enter a staring competition with it. But before he could answer, Botan immediately starts to burst out laughing, "Oh, Akina, you truly would be at war with yourself once you find out !" I look to her confused and can note that everyone else is copying me. "Shut it, Botan!" Yusuke hisses at her, but Botan continues to laugh. She does stop, only to smirk at Yusuke before saying, "No need to be ashamed, Yusuke. Akina will be jealous to learn that the adorable creature on your head is your Spirit Beast!"
And with that Kurama, Yukina and Goro start to laugh alongside Botan. I turn to Kurama and can't help but feel my heart flutter at the sound of his laugh, making me pause in my intentions of seeking more answers from him. Thankfully he noticed me staring at him, making him control his laughter into small chuckles so that he could speak, "A Spirit Beast is a living creature that represents one's inner self." Everyone heard what Kurama says, and whilst I sit there staring at the bird in shock, everyone around me starts to laugh. Kuwabara is the loudest out of everyone, of course. "I never knew how adorable you were inside! You're as pure as a little girl!" Kuwabara laughs out as he pinches both of Yusuke's cheeks and continue his laughter.
I am thankful that I have moved to be closer to Kurama, as Kuwabara's actions had angered my brother so much, that he threw a violent punch at Kuwabara's head, making him crash face first into the coffee table. "How adorable was that?" Yusuke asks him, with his irritation bleeding into his tone. This had indeed caused a pause in the laughter in the room. Goro's eyes stare at Kuwabara, who rushes to take Yukina's hands and lean close to the apparition and speak to her in his soft and overly lovey dovey voice, "Oh Yukina, won't you please heal Kuwabara's itty-bitty boo-boo and make it feel all better?" Yukina has a small blush and is quiet, whilst Goro seems to be digging his claws into the arms of his chair. Shizuru throws a quick and violent punch to the same area as Yusuke has done, sending him crashing into the floor. Yukina and Botan stare at him with worry for his wellbeing, whilst Shizuru has a frustrated look on his face as she says, "Give it a rest for one minute lover boy."
