Chapter 2

"Hello Lottie," Justin says  as he answers the phone. "Hello Big Brother'' I say to him smiling, I Know he can't see me right now but I can't help but smile when I talk to my brother, he's just always been there for me when I needed him and I try to always be there for him when he needs me that's just how close we are. "How are you doing? Do you need anything?" he says in his protective brother voice that makes me laugh " No Justin I'm fine I'm calling you to let you know that I might have an interview at this ne Construction Company and that I'll let you know how it goes so that you don't have to keep worrying about me anymore, hopefully if everything goes good I'll have a job and I won't need to live from your expenses anymore" I say to him and I soon as I say that I get a text from a random number and I check what it says since I'm at a red light, I know I know rebellious I know. Oh, it's from Liam.

Liam: Hey this is Liam, Waverly gave me your number,  Just letting you know that Ivan Lombardo agreed and you have your interview at noon tomorrow.

Me: Thank you so much!

"Scratch that I have an interview tomorrow at the Lombardo Construction Company big brother!" I say to Justin and I just hear him take a big sigh "Lottie-'' he says and before he says anything I interrupt him "I know what your going to say, your going to say that I shouldn't worry that you can take care of me but Justin I want to feel useful I worked my ass of for my degree and I'm pretty good at it, I want to be able to support myself I know that we aren't in the same economic position as before and that since you opened your own Publishing Company and is the most known In the East coast and now we have money I guess but-" I say running my mouth not letting him get one word in until he interrupts me. "Lottie, would you shut up so I can say what I want to say? '' he says, chuckling "sorry "I apologize shyly. "I was going to say that I'm proud of you and who you are even though we are a higher class in money. You still haven't forgotten our roots and are so mature. Any girl your age would've taken advantage of this but not you and I'm proud of who you've become. So yes I understand this and I wish you nothing but luck on your interview tomorrow but if things don't go the way you want them tomorrow I don't want you to feel upset or worried anyone stupid enough to not hire you are dumbasses" he says motivating me even more while I finish parking my car and walk to the elevator on to my apartment building.

These are the types of things that make me and my brother so close we understand each other even when we don't want to. Trying not to tear up, I know I'm just emotional sometimes, I respond to my brother "thank you for understanding tin tin" I've always called Justine Tin Tin since I was little my brother said it was because I couldn't manage to say Justin so he just told me to call him Tin Tin and it just stuck with me till this day. "Of course, but you really need to stop running your mouth when you're nervous of a conversation. It's adorable but annoying sometimes, also stop assuming everyone's thought Lottie! Especially mine! You get them right most of the time and it freaks the shit out of me" Justin says, making the both of us laugh. I mean he isn't wrong it creeps me out sometimes too or when we both end up saying the same thing at the same time. " I know I'm sorry it just makes me anxious" I say , defending my point of view while I reach in my purse to open my apartment door and walk in. " I know. Anyway I have a meeting right now but I'll call you tomorrow night to see how your interview went ok?" he says "Yeah sorry for calling, forgot you have a company to run" I apologize setting my thing on my kitchen counter " it's fine we'll talk tomorrow Lottie, be careful" he says " bye Tin Tin love you " I say exaggerating the you at the end. "Mhm, love you too" he says and then I hang up.

It's around 9:30pm and I just finished setting up my portfolio with my resume, some sketches I've done and some recommendation letters that might come in handy tomorrow. I put it in my kitchen counter next to my purse so that I don't forget it tomorrow. Then my phone dings so I pick it up and it's Liam.

Liam: Hey, just wanted to ask you if you wanted to meet around 11:30 tomorrow so I can give you some tips for your interview. From what Waverly told me, it seems like you're very good at what you do.  He can just be a little intimidating.

Me: Yes! I would really appreciate it, from what I heard Mr. Lombardo can be intimidating. I just want to give the best impression I can, so yes having someone to guide me would help.

Liam: Sounds good, see you tomorrow!

Me: See you tomorrow!

I get ready for bed and lay there making a mental checklist of everything I have to do tomorrow which surprisingly is quite a lot. I have to go to the gym in the morning, then my interview, i have to go grocery shopping, and then I'm going to my parents house and having dinner with them. Even though I've done many interviews in the past and I'm never nervous for some reason, I'm very nervous for tomorrow. I mean who wouldn't have an interview at the biggest most known construction company in the country tomorrow. I try to shake the feeling away and soon close my eyes and drift to sleep.
