Ivan dropped me off a little over 10 minutes ago. I've been contemplating calling him. On the ride here I barely said a word and I felt so bad. I was just so lost in thought that I don't even remember getting out of his car.
I decided to call him to talk to him. I don't want our relationship to have miscommunication so I feel like it would be better to let him know how I feel. "Hello?" I hear Ivan say on the other end. I do but don't know what to say. "I'm sorry" I say, releasing a big breath I didn't know I was holding in. I hear him chuckle on the other end and I smile because I'm being so stupid right now.

***Bouquet for Charlotte***
"Open the door" he says and I arch my eyebrow in confusion. "What" I chuckle. And I hear a knock on my door. I walked over and opened the door and he was standing there with a bouquet of white, blue, and purple orchids. Aww he remembered that those are my favorite flowers. "Aww thank you baby! You remembered!" I say taking the flowers from him and giving him a big hug. "Of course I did," he laughs out. I let go of him and tell him to come in and close the door, he walks in and sits on the stool near my kitchen counter. "I'm sorry" I repeated, hiding my face behind the bouquet. Ivan gets up smiling and takes the bouquet to place it on the counter. "You don't have to apologize. I know it can be overwhelming dating your boss, and I know you're a little uncomfortable with that right now but you'll get used to it" he said, holding me by my hips while I wrapped my arms around his neck. I went on my tip toes and leaned his head down so his lips could meet mine.
I moved back from the kiss smiling and I looked at him, he was also smiling. "Are you hungry?" I asked him and he nodded. "I'm going to go change and I'll make something to eat okay?" I say and he nods. I went into my room and put on a pair of sweats with a matching crop top and brought one of his hoodies that he didn't know I stole to him so that he could be a little bit comfortable. "Why do you have my hoodie?" he asked me laughing. I smiled at him and started to giggle. "I stole it from you" I said to him.
I made some chicken and cheese quesadillas and we ate. It was getting pretty late. I looked at the time and it was 10, I started yawning. "I should probably go so that you can get some rest" I hear Ivan say and I run to him and hug him tightly. "Can you stay over? please" I ask, looking at him. He starts laughing at my childish behavior. "I wish I could princess, but I'm supposed to have breakfast at my parent's early in the morning," he said and I just hummed in response. "Ok" I said sadly and gave him a goodbye kiss. "I love you" I say to him as he starts walking over to the elevator "I love you too" he says and disappears when the doors close. I closed my door and went straight to bed.
I woke up at 6 today and went to the gym. Even though it was only the weekend that I didn't go to the gym it feels like it's been forever. I was there for an hour. I came back home, showered, ate breakfast and got ready for work.
I just arrived at work, I looked around to see if I saw Ivan's car but I didn't see it so I'm guessing he isn't here yet. I walked in and I could feel everyone staring at me. The only one I felt didn't judge me was Jasmine. I approached her desk which was right outside my office, and she greeted me with a huge smile. "Good morning Jasmine" I say and walk into my office and Jasmine quickly follows inside. "Good morning Ms. Carter, would you like me to get you some coffee or breakfast or...-" she says smiling at me and I sit on my desk and place my computer on the desk.
"Jasmine I don't expect you to fetch me coffee unless you are getting some for your own ok? I want you to feel like I'm not only your boss but I'm also your friend" I say smiling to her keeping my eyes locked on hers as she sits on the chair opposite from me. "Thank you" she says and opens her laptop up. We go over today's schedule which is very busy. I have a meeting with Liam and Tony in an hour. I also have a phone meeting with the people from the wedding venue that asked us to design everything, and I have to find some time in between to finish some sketches. Today is going to be one hell of a day.
I've been in Tony's office with Liam in the meeting for 2 hours now, which was very productive. "Well I'm going to go to my office and get some sketches done, uh Charlotte can you meet sometime next week to go over the arcs?" Liam said and I nodded "uh sure yeah, just have your secretary call mine and schedule something, ok?" I say to him, he smiles at me and walks out of the office. "Well if you don't need me for anything else I'll just leave you to work" I say to Tony, he nods and smiles at me and I return the same smile. "You know Charlotte you bring out an Ivan I never thought I'd see again" Tony says causing me to blush and smile uncontrollably, "thank you" I say and start to go to Ivan's office. I wanted to see him, but I haven't seen him since last night. I know it wasn't long ago but we've been seeing each other so much lately it feels weird not seeing him every day.
"Hey Camilla, is Ivan here?" I ask Camilla who just looks at me annoyed, obviously I try to ignore it and act casual. "He's here but he can't see you right now" she says, "I'm sorry but may I ask why Ivan can't see me" I ask returning a little bit of the attitude she's giving me right now. "He is in a meeting" she says and I just nod and start to walk away from her desk. "He is in a meeting that's a lot more important than you" I hear her say and I stop in my tracks and start to walk towards her desk again. "I'm sorry what?" I say to her, crossing my arms standing in front of her. Just because I don't like drama doesn't mean I'll let people walk all over me. "Oh c'mon you know that he's just using you right? I mean why would he want to be with someone like you. You think your important to him he's just using you but your to stupid to realize" she says and I stay quiet her words are slightly hurting me. Is she right? I mean he did ask me to go out with him the day I started working for him. Is he just using me for sex? "We all know that you must've had thrown yourself at him I mean that's what your kind do right" she says and I feel the tears threatening to leave my eyes, not because I'm sad but because I'm angry and what she said about Ivan's feeling towards me are starting to make me doubt everything. "My kind?" I ask her with an attitude trying to hide the effect her words are having. "Yes your kind, I mean the only reason you're with him is for his money and because you want to leave the low and poor life behind. We all know that you slept your way into the company" she said and a tear escaped from my eyes. Before I could respond I heard Tony.
"That's enough Camilla" he said angrily. He placed his hand on my arm but I didn't want any more attention than the one that everyone was giving me while they listened to everything Camilla just said to me. I removed my arm away from him and speed walked to my office trying to hide the sobs that left my mouth. "Ms. Carter-" I heard Jasmine say and I just raised my hand indicating I didn't want to talk. I went into my office and let out tears. My brother was right, everyone was going to judge me and I let it happen.
