You and Me

Chapter 32

Ivan and I started to walk in our hands intertwined and everyone stopped working and stared at me. Some sent me kind smiles while others looked at me with serious and straight faces. "Everyone back to work!" Ivan shouted at everyone and they all started to go on with their day. Ivan pulled me gently to his office and I followed him. I noticed he has a new secretary and she gave me a small smile and greeted us before we entered Ivan's office.

"You okay?" Ivan said, catching my attention as he let my hand go and walked over to his desk. I started to walk to the sofa in his office and took my purse off and set it there. "I'm fine" I said walking back to his desk where he sat on his chair. I walked to his side of the desk and made sure there was nothing on the desk and sat there. He scooted his chair in between my legs smiling. He placed his hands on my waist. I leaned down and kissed his beautiful lips. "I'm going to go to Tony now" I said against his lips smiling. "Hmmm kay" he said and pecked my lips one more time. I went and picked my bag up and started to walk to the door before leaving. I turned around and blew him a kiss and he smiled.

As I walked to Tony's office I heard a lot of people whispering, loud enough for me to hear, they repeated the same things that Camila said about me. I tried to ignore them and soon after Tony's secretary told me to go in. I walked in and Tony got up from his seat and walked over to me, "Charlotte! Hey, so wonderful to see you, you look good, how have you been?" he said, giving me a gentle hug. "I'm doing better thank you for asking and visiting me at the hospital" I said to him. The day of my surgery he also went to visit me and brought some flowers for me. We sat down and catched up on life then on work.

"So I'll add the changes you want to make, also if it's better for you the next couple of meetings we have I could go to Ivan's house, well your house as well..." he said chuckling at the last part, which made me blush. "I could go to yall's house for the next couple of meetings so that you don't have to come here. I know the doctor said you needed some rest and no stress" he said and I was so grateful that he understood my position. "Yes I would really appreciate it if some of the meetings are at home, I do want some of the meetings here, but yes it would help if I don't have to come here all the time" I said to Tony, giving him a smile. "Well that works for me as well" he said, giving me some files that I need to go over.

"Thank you" I said "No problem" he replied but I don't think he knows why I'm thanking him. "No, thank you for not seeing me the same way some people see me right now" I said to him looking down at my lap fidgeting with my fingers. "Charlotte..." he said, releasing a sigh right after. "I've seen your work, you are definitely gifted" he said and we both let a small chuckle escape. "Also I've known Ivan for almost my whole life, he isn't the type to let someone just because they are attractive, he hired you because you are talented... everyone is just judging you without knowing you" he said and I send him a sad smile which he returns,  "Thank you, for everything" I say to him and he nods. "Now go find lover boy, he's probably mad that I kept you here for an hour and a half" he said and we both started to laugh, I nodded and got up and left his office.

I asked Ivan's new secretary, Allison, to ask Ivan if I could come in. She told me to go in so I opened the door and saw another woman in Ivan's office, "Oh um I-I'm sorry, Allison told me to come in, I'll-" I started but before I could even finish my excuse Ivan interrupted me smiling, "it's okay I told her to let you in, I want you to meet my sister" he said catching me off guard. Excuse me, sister! He couldn't have given me a head start. "Oh uh Hi I'm Charlotte, it's nice to meet you" I said to her walking over to her. She has some of the same features that Ivan has, she has nice blue eyes and dark hair. She's like the girl version of Ivan. I'm not even kidding. "Hey it's nice to finally meet the girl that has my brother crazy in love, I'm Violet!" she said smiling at me and side eyeing Ivan who just rolled his eyes. "God Ivan you said she was gorgeous but I think your choice of words fell short" she said, grabbing my hand and spinning me around. I just chuckled at her amusement. "Thank you" I said to her and she nodded. "I already love you, wow big brother you did good" she said "I told you I did" he said and I started to blush. "Have mom and dad met her yet?" she said and it hit me. I have to meet his parents. "No, I was thinking we could go to dinner one night all of us so everyone could meet her," he said and I can't help but feel nervous about the situation. "Yeah! But when she is better" Violet said and I smiled at her. Her phone started ringing and she picked up.
