Chapter 26

Charlotte's POV

I woke up and called Jasmine telling her to grab her laptop and mine and see if she could come to the hospital to help me get some work done. She came and she started rescheduling the meetings I had for the next 3 weeks and squeezing them in for when I go back to work. I know I'm probably going to be filled with stress having 3-4 meetings a day for 4 weeks but I don't want to overwork myself right now. The doctor said that having huge emotions outbreaks and stress is not good for my heart right now.

She's been here making calls to reschedule meetings for a little over an hour, we started talking about having her come to my apartment to help me with some work some days and having her look for a nurse since I can't live alone for the next 2 weeks. We were in the middle of discussing getting a nurse subject when we heard a knock at the door.

"Come in" I said looking over at the door and I saw him. Standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a huge smile. His hazel blue eyes staring at mine and I couldn't help but smile. "Hey love, wait... are you working?" he said and I nodded. "No and yes I was just having Jasmine reschedule my meetings for the next 2 weeks and look for a nurse so that I'm not alone at my apartment since the doctor-" I started off saying and was cut off by him. "Nope you don't need a nurse because you my beautiful lady are going to be staying with me until you are all better" he said and I started nodding. "No Ivan, I can't, I don't want to make you uncomfortable," I said and he sat on the side of my bed. "You? Make me uncomfortable? never" he said and gave me a kiss and I returned it, I quickly pulled away remembering that Jasmine was in here. I looked over to her and she was smiling.

"Thank you Jasmine, you can go. I would really appreciate it if you would come over to Ivan's house whenever I call you to do small amounts of work" I said to her, returning a smile. "Yes, no problem Ms. Carter, I will see you soon, feel better" she said and I thanked her and she left. Me and Ivan were talking. He said that the doctor said that I could leave in a few hours which makes me happy. I just want to get out of here. I called Alexandra to ask her if she could find me enough clothes to last me 2-3 weeks since I was staying at Ivan's house.

It's 1 pm and the nurse came to tell me I was discharged so I started getting ready. Ivan went to finish some paperwork while I changed, I finished changing when the door opened and I saw the last person I thought would come visit me.

"Well... I see you're still alive" Camila and I squinted my eyes and all the sudden I felt a sudden sharp pain in my head and I got flashbacks of the accident.

I felt pain in my chest. I couldn't breathe. How could she say such awful things without even knowing me. I kept hearing her words in my head. "You aren't good enough for him and you will never be, you whored yourself into the job and everyone knows it". I cried while driving until I saw someone speeding behind me getting way too close to my car.

"What the hell is your problem?" I said looking at the car behind me. I looked forward and then to the side seeing the car pull up next to mine as we drove. It was her. What the hell is Camilla doing? She started speeding behind me, hitting the back of my car every now and then. "What the fuck" I yelled.

I started to drive into an empty road seeing if she would stop but she didn't. My phone started ringing. So I picked it up. "Hello?" I sniffled and I heard my brother's voice on the other end. "Are you crying? What happened?" He said and I explained that I couldn't say that it seemed like someone was trying to hit my car, obviously I didn't say it was Camilla. "Well then pull over Charlotte!" He screamed and I got upset. "I fucking can't Justin she's actually trying to kill me!" I yelled looking over at the phone and that split second was what it took for Camilla to hit the back left side of my car causing my car to go in circles. I started screaming and all I could hear was Justin yelling asking what was happening I got a glimpse at Camilla's car and saw that it hit a tree nearby and I saw my car was spinning towards an old building made of concrete tried to control my car but it was all happening to fast and all I remember was the impact of the concrete wall hitting the driver side of the car and from the impact my chest started burning and I couldn't breath, I started to drift away as my eyes closed and the sight of Camilla's car against a tree was replaced by darkness and all I remember was hearing faint sirens. And I blacked out.
