You and Me

Chapter 1

"It's been a little over 2 and a half months now Ale, and still nothing" I say to my best friend Alexandra frustrated. "I know Char, I understand that you're upset. Trust me I know the struggle of getting a job as well but trust me things will get better and you'll be complaining about going to work soon." ale says trying to cheer me up which works, i start laughing at her comment. "Where is Waverly, she was supposed to be here... 20 minutes ago?" Ale says pulling her phone out to check the time.

"I know... here let me call her maybe she's almost here" i tell Ale who releases a huge sigh being dramatic as always. I pull my phone out and look for her contact and dial her. Ring Ring. "hey... I'm almost there I'm like 3 blocks away" she says while i put my phone on speaker so Ale can hear her as well. " Well hurry up slowpoke I'm starving" ale says "did you just say slowpoke?" I ask , looking at Ale and chuckling "yeah did you just say slowpoke?" Waverly asks, reminding me that she's on the phone. "I know, I know I just been watching Austin's kid too much lately" Ale says defending that fact that she just said slowpoke, like who says that still. "... Anyway I just got to the parking lot. I'll see you guys inside" Waverly says chuckling. "Okay byeee" me and ale say in unison extending on the bye,  i hang up the phone and wait for Waverly.

"Hey!" Waverly says catching me and ales' attention. I get up and hug her like if i didn't just talk to her 5 minutes ago. "Finally.., lets order and then talk while we wait for our food" Ale says exaggerating the finally. "Don't be dramatic Ale" i say to Alexandra making Waverly laugh. "Who would I be if I'm not dramatic" ale says putting her hand on her chest as if she was offended. I swear she can be so dramatic sometimes but she's right she is not Alexandra Cooper without her being dramatic every hour of the day. We ordered our food, and talked a little bit about what's been going on in our lives.

"So.. it seems like job hunting hasn't been going so well huh, well I mean if I was you I would not even be bothering looking for a job now that your brother is paying your rent while you look for a job, I mean he did say and i quote 'it's fine Lottie, don't worry about it Lottie, that's what big brothers are for Lottie' shit!, if my brother was like that I would be like 'yeah I'm looking for a job but nothings showing up' for as long as I can'' Waverly says looking at me leaning back on her chair, while I roll my eyes at her smiling. Yup, That's our friend group Alexandra the dramatic one, Waverly the life's great one, while there's me the boring down to earth one. I won't lie sometimes I feel like I'm kinda the boring one because I'm always thinking about what the consequences of something are going to be but sometimes it's better because imagine all three of us being the same we would be wild and unstoppable not saying we aren't when we don't get what we want.

"C'mon Wave Justin can be like that but he's not stupid and Char here can't lie to her brother because he seem to be able to read her like a book just like us, not saying that Char even tries to lie to him" Ale says bringing me back from my thoughts.

"I mean why would I want to lie to my brother!" I threw my arms to the air defending myself. "I didn't lie to my brother before why would I want to start lying to him now" I say looking at both of my best friends "I mean the last time I lied to my brother was the time YOU two hit his car with your bikes" I say pointing at Waverly and Alexandra "and even then he nee you were lying" Waverly says chickling making me and Alexandra burst out laughing. "Anyway... a friend of mine Liam works at his friend company the Lombardo Construction Company I can-'' she says before I interrupt her "THE Lombardo Construction Company!" I say exaggerating THE " Yes... Like I was saying he is also an architect he said they were looking for a Landscape Architect and I was gonna ask you before you rudely interrupted me if you wanted me to ask him to refer you to his boss" she said laughing making Alexandra laugh as well. "Oh my god, can you? Please? I really want to get a job. I don't want to depend on my brother anymore. It makes me feel useless " tried to explain to Waverly who was pulling out her phone and texting someone. "Done! He said he'll talk to his boss and he thinks he can convince him to give you an interview since they are friends-" she says, placing her phone back down on the table. And before she can finish her sentence I find myself lunging towards her giving her the biggest hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you Wave!" I say making both girls laugh and wave hugs me back. " you know i'd do anything for you" Wave says

"Okay well we gotta go, or I gotta go cause I gotta watch my nephew in a couple of hours" Ale says chuckling as I remove myself from Wave. We all say goodbye and walk to the parking lot. I dropped Ale at her apartment and started driving home. While driving home I decided to call Justin.

so how did you guys like the first chapter I know that usually first couple of chapters aren't the best because it's background but be patient everyone. these few chapters are important to the characters.
