Chapter 45

One year and a half later:

I woke up again in sweat and tears. I don't know why I thought today would be different. It's like this every morning. I looked over at my clock and it was 5 in the morning so I got up and got ready to workout. I bought my own house and Ale, Wave and Jasmine are my roommates. Ale works at my company. It's called The 3 C's which stands for Carter Construction Company. It's one of the most known construction companies in the country. Not number one yet but it'll get there. As soon as I started the company it was hard, but after we did the first project it blew up and it's been getting a lot of attention. Wave still works as a realtor but has her office in my company and we have a partnership. Mostly people who want a house they want to renovate so she sends them to me. Jasmine is my personal assistant. I gave her the choice to go back and work with Ivan or she could join me. She said she wanted to join me. She's been awesome. The first month of working I couldn't pay her but now she lives with me as my roommate and works for me.

***Charlottes House***

My house is my safe place. It's away from other houses and has lots of land. I wanted something away from the chaos so I bought a piece of land and built on it. This house is the designs of my people and me. I also bought a car, a 2022 Audi R8. I know. I've always been a fan of sports cars so I needed one. I also have 2 BMW SUVs for our drivers. Usually we only use them sometimes. I usually drive in my car and the two drivers and bodyguards follow behind in one. Lately I've been needing security because since my business blew up people are just waiting to interview me. Considering that I'm a woman who started a company at 23 and blew up in a matter of months.
