When I Met You (GXG)

CHAPTER 13

I was focused on warming up when I saw the professors including Miss Rich at the side of the bench watching us. Shit, manonood sila? Kinabahan ako bigla. Binalik ko ang aking atensyon sa pagwa warm up. Focus, Zenitha. Focus.

"Oh I think that I found myself a cheerleader, she is always right there when I need her~" Grae sang, and then gave me a teasing look.

Ngumuso siya na tila tinuturo si Miss Rich. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin at kumuha ng bola. I throw the ball at her thigh na agad niya namang naiwasan. Dinilaan ako nito bago lumayo sa akin.

"Ly! Sabayan mo ako." pagtawag ni Sica sa akin. I was hesitating if I should really do it. She's currently doing a shooting drill, and she wants me to challenge her.

I come near her and get ready to do a defense. She shoots her first attempt and I challenged it, she fails. I motivated her to continue. Tumira ulit siya ng isa pa na sinabayan ko muli, hindi parin pumasok.

"Tangina." she irritatingly said. Weird, kasi hindi naman siya ganto kabilis mainis kapag hindi siya nakaka shoot. I just encouraged her to try again. But for the 3rd time she failed again.

"Try it without my D, Sica." I suggested. She try to shoot again, but for the 4th time she didn't get the shot again. I looked at her, seryoso ito at napahawak sa kanyang sentido.

"Okay ka lang ba? Masama ba pakiramdam mo? Are you getting bothered because of... " I asked looking at her. But she just stared at me for a long time. Umiwas agad ako ng tingin dahil naiilang ako sa mga titig niya.

"No, I'm fine. Would you come with me later?" she asked. My brows furrowed as I got curious.

"Saan?"

"I found a cool bar last night. The band is also great. Sama ka?" Ow, kaya pala anong oras na siya nakauwi kagabi.

"Sure, tayong dalawa lang?"

"I actually told the team a while ago, some professors wants to join too." Professors?

"S- si Miss Rich, kasama?" Di ko mapigilang tanungin.

"I don't know, Miss Sophie agreed. Baka kasama din siya. Bakit mo naman natanong?" she looked intenly to my eyes. I got a little nervous for no reason.

"A- ah wala lang. Tara try ulit natin." pag iiba ko ng usapan. I offered her the ball but she's still seriously looking at me.

"About this person that you're interested with, how is it working?" she asked. Kinuha niya ang bola pero inilapag niya lang ito. She wants to talk. But seriously, she's acting weird.

"Uhmmm, well I'm focus on practicing right now so I can't really pay attention that much to her." that wasn't true, my attention in always on her. 

Pinulot ko ang bola na inilapag niya kanina, tinira ko ito at pumasok. Binigyan ko siya ng mayabang na tingin na ikinataray naman nito sa akin. Kumuha din siya ng bola para makabawi, itinira niya ito at sa wakas ay pumasok na din!

"Congrats idol, graduate ka na wakas." I tapped her head as if she was a pet. She was startled on it, she didn't even move. Did I made her uncomfortable? I quickly remove my hand from her head nang maisip ko iyon.

When we heard Coach Jalen's whistle, we quickly got to the bench to prepare for the game. Miss Rich and Ate Sophie are on our side. Agad kong nginitian si Ate Sophie at binati.

"Cheer niyo team namin Ate ah!" masigla kong sambit sa kaniya.

"Oo naman, basta galingan mo. Don't break a leg!" napakunot ang noo ko dahil parang mali ata yung pagkakasabi niya.

"Literal yun, kaya don't break a leg." natawa ako dahil doon. Tinapunan ko ng tingin si Miss Rich, nakasiklop ang dalawang braso nito habang nakatungo ang atensyon sa court.
