CHAPTER 42

After lunch, nagpaalam siya na may gagawin sila ni Leia. She's been acting weird and seems unwell ever since we went out from jet skiing. I can hear the loud raindrops outside, it's getting stronger so I called Elijah if Aizen is okay with her.

As soon as I got Elijah's confirmation, she also informed me that the sunset cruise got cancelled due to the heavy weather. Sunod kong tinawagan si Zen, pero hindi siya sumasagot. I don't have Leia's number so I don't have a choice but to keep calling her. My blood boils when she's still not picking up my call. Where is she?

Almost 5pm but she has not yet return. Worry overtakes my bone and flesh, my mind keeps overthinking. I know she's a woman now, but I just can't stop thinking about her. I heard a knock from the door, because of expectation it is her, I immediately opened it. I closed my eyes in disappointment.

"Looks like you're expecting someone." Sophie said. Tiningnan ko lang siya, napakunot ang noo niya atsaka hinawakan ako sa balikat.

"What's wrong?" she asked. I sigh heavily before I response.

"I'm waiting for hours, but Zen is still not here. Tinawagan ko na siya ng ilang beses, but she's not answering her phone." nag aalala kong sagot.

"Baka naman na lowbat lang. Sino ba kasama niya?" I closed my eyes and scratch my forehead.

"Leia. I don't have her number, do you have?" she nodded as a response.
Kinuha niya ang phone niya, she put it in a loud speaker so I can hear it. It took some time before the ringing stop.

"Yes po ate?" Leia answered in the call. Sophie looked at me signaling for me to answer, but I told her to do the work.

"Magdi dinner na tayo, nasan na kayo ni Ly?" she asked.

"Huh? Pabalik pa lang ako ate, pero si Ly kanina pa po bumalik yun, masama daw kasi pakiramdam niya." bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko habang pagtataka ang bumabalot sa aking isipan.

"How long has it been since she left?" di ko na napigilang magsalita dahil da pag aalala.

"A- ah, magkasama pala kayo. Well, mga... dalawang oras na siguro." 2 hours?! Where the hell is she?! The call hasn't ended yet but I walked out my door. I stopped when I felt someone grabbed my wrist.

"Saan ka pupunta?" she asked which made me turn around to face her.

"I'm going to find her."

"Rich, relax muna. Baka naman kumain lang sandali dyan sa laba-'

"She eats faster than me." I reasoned.

"Baka naglakad lakad." I breathe heavily. "You know what Rich, hindi makakatulong yung pago overthink mo. Calm down okay? She's mature woman and she knows what she's doing."

"Yeah, like ignoring my call a hundred times." I rolled my eyes afterwards.

"Ate!" lumingon kaming dalawa sa tumawag. It's Leia.

"See? She got back here for like minutes, not even an hour. Now where the hell is Zen? Why she not answering my calls? At saan ba kayo galing?" sunod sunod kong tanong.

"Uh ahh, niyaya kasi ako nun mag shooting sa nakita naming basketball game dun sa D Mall. Nakailang take siya hanggang sa mareach niya yung points para sa price, pero binigay niya lang sa akin yun tapos sabi niya babalik na siya dahil sumama yung pakiramdam niya. Nag alala nga ako kasi biglang umulan pagka alis niya." pagpapaliwanag niya.

"Nakita mo ba siya pabalik? Or kahit sa tabing dagat lang?" tanong ni Sophie. She shook her head as a response.

"Medyo madilim na ate eh. Dito nalang kayo, hahanapin ko siya." I shook my head to her.
