CHAPTER 23

I immediately lie down in bed when I finished dressing up. I checked my social media, and some news. I got startled when I receive a video call from ate Sophie.

"Hey student." she greeted. I checked her surroundings, mukhang nasa isang bahay ito. She's taking a sip of coffee, bakit naman kaya siya napatawag?

"Hello ate. Napatawag ka po?"

"I was just thinking if we can have some coffee after ng game mo. Pwede ba?" napakunot ang aking noo dahil sa pagtataka.

"Pwede naman ate, pero baka magkaroon din kami ng dinner ng team if ever manalo." I explained.

"Ah... sana matalo." she joked.

"Ay grabe." We laugh together.

Muntik ko na mabitawan ang phone ko nang may biglang sumilay sa likod. Putek akala ko naman kung sino na! Magkasama pala sila ni Maam. Bakit kahit through vid call lang, nararamdaman ko yung masamang titig ni Maam. Nakakakilabot.

"M- maam." I called her still in shocked.

"Mukhang tanga naman kasing entry yan Rich. Papakita ka nalang sa video call, naka all white ka pa tapos yung tingin mo para kang papatay. Kahit ako magugulat sayo eh." I chuckled. I saw Aiko just rolled her eyes on ate Sophie.

"Basta bukas student ha, if you have free time. Sana talaga matalo kayo." I let out a laugh again.

"Ate ganito nalang, kahit manalo kami sasama nalang ako sayo. Habol nalang ako sa dinner ng team. Para naman di mo hinihiling na matalo kami, baka magkatotoo eh." she nodded while laughing.

"Sige sige bukas ah." I looked at Aiko whose letting out a confuse look. "Rich, ikaw nga muna dito iihi lang ako." napangiti ako nang umalis bigla si ate Sophie.

"What are you smiling at? Is she your kind of partner in crime now? She could have just ended the call." I chuckled.

"Baka gusto niya pa akong makausap." I stated.

"What's going on with the two of you tomorrow?"

"She just offered me to have some coffee tomorrow, after game." nakita ko ang pagkunot ng noo nito.

"Coffee date?"

"A coffee friendly date, I guess?" I corrected.

"She never offer a coffee with a friend. It's Sophie's first stage in dating, she call it kape kape muna." I let out a small laugh at that. She really knows her friend, of course.

"Kape kape lang naman pala eh. Walang ibig sabihin yun." pagpapaliwanag ko sa kaniya.

"Did she tell you bakit ka niya niyaya?" she asked. Why do I feel so happy that she is curious.

"Wala. Niyaya niya lang ako. Pwede ka naman sumama, kaso lang may gagawin ka bukas diba? Okay lang, next time nalang." I said.

"Okay, have fun then."

I bite my lips to hold my smile. Why does it feels like I'm talking to my grumpy gf. Asa naman diba.

"Ikaw parin naman ang bebe ko Maam." pang aasar ko. Tinarayan ako nito at kinagat ang kaniyang ibabang labi.

"What's taking her so long?" I chuckled when she said that.

"Baka naman kasi pinainom mo ng isang drum na tubig." I joked. She let out a laugh which I'm surprised.

"She commanded me to bought a buko kanina, she said the mala usog daw-"

"mala uhog." I corrected her.
