When I Met You (GXG)

CHAPTER 25

I felt my phone started to vibrate so I checked it. It's kuya calling. I answered it right away, I'm excited to talk to him again since it's been a while.

"Hey peanuttt." I greeted him.

"Yogii! I missed you. Advance Happy birthday!" masigla niyang bati. Napakunot naman ako ng noo at tiningnan ko ang date ngayon. Oh shit! next week na pala.

"Haha, I almost forgot it's my birthday next week kuya. So, kelan ka uuwi?" I asked him.

"Sadly, baka after 2 days ng birthday mo. I had a urgent meeting call, and I can't cancel it."

"Ow, it's okay kuya. By the way, pagdating mo manood ka ng game ko ah? With your wife." pagpipilit ko sa kaniya.

"Yeah, my wife." he said.

"Sus, feel na feel mo naman. Doon din naman dadating yun." pang aasar ko sa kaniya.

"I know. It's just that.... it's been a while since the two of us talk, or even see. It's hard, it's like she's been avoiding me." that made me worry.

"You sure it's her that's avoiding? Baka naman ikaw din? Maybe you're just being too busy at your work. Baka nagtatampo lang." I don't want to be biased that's why I said that.

"No. Even if I'm busy, I still give a time for her."

"Okay...." I answered not so believing it.

"Magpapadala ako ng pera sayo sa birthday mo. Celebrate it with Mommy G and your friends." he said na nagpangiti sa akin.

"Yessss... give me that money kuya." natutuwa kong sambit.

"Ikaw talaga." we let out a laugh. After that ay nagpaalam na kami sa isa't isa.

After class ay dumeretso ako sa meeting place namin ni Klare. I'm here at some coffee shop. I was waiting for Klare because this is the day na bibisitahin namin si Vogana. We both have schedules on her birthday so we will go in advance.

I wave my hand when she entered the cafe. Bumeso siya sa akin at umupo sa aking kaharap na upuan.

"Sorry, it's traffic sa highway eh." she said while fixing her hair.

"It's okay. Marami pa namang time. Do you have a car? Or sa akin nalang?" I asked.

"Sayo nalang. Actually, hindi ako nagdala ng car ko. Nagpahatid lang ako." I nod as a response that I understand her statement.

When we got into cemetery, we immediately find Vogana's tombstone. As soon as we found it, we placed the flower and candle beside the tombstone.

"Hey, Vogana. Di ako nakapunta last year, sorry. I miss you. Balik ka na." I joked.
