When I Met You (GXG)

CHAPTER 29

The court was full of people, I was looking for my kuya where I reserved him a seat pero wala pa siya. The game was about to start, I'm getting nervous dahil kaninang umaga lang ay namanhid nanaman ang hita ko habang nagte training ako. I didn't say anything to coach dahil gusto ko talaga maglaro.

"Ly!!" napalingon ako sa gilid nang may tumawag sa akin. It's Laure.

"Goodluck Queen!!! Bumaba lang ako dito, nandoon kasi kami sa taas. Naubusan kami ng ticket eh!" I smiled and then I thanked her for watching my game.

"Goodluck to us Ly." Sica said. I hear whistle and noises from the people in the court, they are still teasing us because of her public confession. Natawa ako nang sumama ang awra ng mukha niya dahil sa mga nang aasar.

"Ayan... public confession pa more." pang aasar ko sa kaniya. 

In the 1st quarter, we lead in 5 pts. The game is in our favor, but my legs wasn't. I'm feeling the numbness in my legs again. Habang naglalakad ako pabalik ng bench ay sumalubong sa akin ang kumakaway na si kuya Cj.

I smiled when I saw him, but it slowly faded when I saw who's beside him. My heart begins to beat rapidly. Isang bagay lang ang pumasok sa isip ko.

'I'm gonna try to watch your game with my fiance.'

Reminding that words of my brother made me swallow hard. Not just my legs weaken but also my heart. I tried to move my feet to come near to them. 

"Yogi!!" Kuya Cj excitedly greeted me. I forced out a smile to him. I don't know what to feel, parang nakakapanghina.

"We're sorry nalate kami. I just waited for Rich." I just nodded on it as a response, I looked at her.

She's wearing a cap, so I can't see her face well. The pain in my heart doubled when I saw her wearing a ring na hindi niya naman sinusuot dati.

"By the way, I know na magkakilala na kayo nabanggit niya sa akin that she's your professor, right? And Ly, she's my f-"

he got interrupted in his statement when suddenly the buzzer rang. It means that the 2nd quarter will start and we need to get back to the court.

"Ah... k- kuya, I need to go." I said as I force myself para magpaalam. He wish me goodluck. My eyes went to her, but she's still ignoring me, as if I wasn't in front of her. Kahapon parang sobrang lapit niya lang sakin, ngayon parang hindi ko na siya maabot.

I came back to the court having such emotions I can't handle well. I bite my lips to hold my emotions. I should focus, but fuck, I can't help myself to look on their side. They're enjoying talking to each other.

"Focus on the game Ly." Sica whispered and then tapped my shoulder to cheer me up.

The ball is in our possession, so I started handling the ball. But suddenly wala akong maisip na play. Lord please, help me.

I passed the ball to Sica na nasa gilid ko, pero nahuli ito at naagaw nila kaya naka fast break ang kalaban. I apologized to my teammates and they're okay with it.

I proceed in defense. Jensan is the one I'm defending. She's just handling the ball, so I assumed na sasalaksak siya. She did a move na hindi ko nasabayan kaya nakatakas siya sa depensa ko at hindi ko na siya nahabol kaya siya ay naka score.

"Ly what the heck?!" I heard Powder yelled at me. The buzzer rang, nag time out si coach. Pabalik na sana ako ng bench, nang hawakan ni Sica ang pulsuhan ko at dali dali akong hinila papunta sa bench.

"Coach, no Alcazar for today." Sica said to coach which made my brows furrowed. Coach breathed heavily and then nodded. The fuck?!

"I think it's much better if you re-"
