Levi

"Good morning Sir" the employees greeted when I entered the building

Tumango lang ako at dumiretso sa opisina ko

"Good morning Sir. Here's your schedule for today" utas ng secretary ko nang makaupo ako sa swivel chair. Napahawak ako sa sentido ko. Here we go again

I still don't get why I'm here. I'm the COO of our company. This is maybe our second largest branch next to our main branch but it is not my job to monitor the activities here.  Argh! Damn that Carter! And speaking of that motherfucker

Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko at tinignan ang secretary ko. I made a hand gesture that she easily get. Tumigil ito sa pagsasalita at bahagyang yumuko

"Call me when you need anything Sir" aniya at lumabas ng opisina ko

That's what I really need for a secretary. A competent one

I dialled Carter's number. Few rings later, he picked it up

Narinig ko agad ang munting boses ni Callum. So he's babysitting his son

"Callum don't. Baka mahulog ka" sita nito sa anak. Napangisi ako. He's in Manila right now together with Alice and Callum

"What do you need?"

My lips pursed when his tone changed. Really bastard? Napailing na lang ako at nagbuga ng malalim na hininga

"I have a question"

I heard him sighed

"I-Google mo na lang. Bye"

Napanganga ako nang bigla nya akong babaan. What the?!

Tinawagan ko ulit sya at nakailang rings pa bago nya sinagot

"I'm serious here!" bungad ko

"So do I" he said in a flat tone. Siguro noong nagpaulan ng energy, tulog 'to

"Tss. I just want to ask why you assigned me here?"

"Magdadalawang linggo ka na dyan, ngayon ka lang nagtanong?"

That fast? Di ko man lang namalayan. Maybe because I focused myself into... something else

"You fit in that job Levi"

"Why? Because I'm awesome?" I grinned

"Suit yourself"

Tss. He is no fun. If Luke Montealba is here he would say the same thing. Halos magkaugali kasi ang dalawang yun

"Do you really think there are anomalies here?" I asked, this time in a serious tone

"Yes. The financial reports says it all and also, I have received some reports from the employees there"

May naglakas ng loob talaga?

"Watch the branch manager very carefully"

So there's the prospect

"Send me further details about this shit"

"Expect it within this day" he said before he ended the call

Now I have to investigate while monitoring the operations and doing some reports. What a work load!

I called my secretary through the intercom

Pumasok ito at ngayon ay may dalang mga papel na nakapatas. Maingat nyang nilagay yon sa mesa ko

I sighed when I saw the paperworks that I needed to review

"About your schedule for today Sir" Leina said

"Continue"

She started reading what's on her tab. This will be a very tiring day!
