Marley's POV
Like I figured, there wasn't a monster under their bed. I quickly tucked them back into bed.
"If you guys get up again, I won't cook y'all breakfast in the morning." I warned them.
"Okay, that's a deal." They both replied smiling.
"Goodnight Dollies!" I chimed.
"Goodnight Mar." They replied.
I shut the door and headed back downstairs. Meanwhile, I heard pacing downstairs. I wonder what Ian's doing.
"Y-y-you're back?" He asked hesitantly.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Well, Mar I need to tell you something. I think it can't wait anymore." He said with his head hanging down.
"Okay." I said uneasily while sitting back down on the couch.
Ian reached out and grabbed both of my hands, cupping them into his. I started getting nervous.
Ian's POV
"Here goes nothing," I thought to myself.
"W-w-well Mar, you know we've been cool ever since we were in diapers. We've shared just about everything together. Honestly, I believe that it's inevitable to not catch feelings for you. You're sweet and kind. You always know how to put a smile on my face and I believe it is safe to say that I Love You. I just pray that the feelings are mutual. If they aren't --" She immediately cut me off before I could finish that last part.
I looked at her puzzled, "Did I say something wrong?"
She smiled and said, "There's no need for that last part. You know why. Because the feelings are indeed mutual. The both of us have been suppressing our feelings for a long time and now it has gotten to the point where we can't anymore. I love you too. I always have and I always will."
I gazed into her teary eyes before kissing her on her forehead and bringing her into a warm embrace.
"Remember, you always have me Mar." I whispered in her ear.
I felt her nod as she dug her head into the side of my neck. I leaned back and hugged her until she was ready to let go.
It felt like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. It's official now. Marley's my girlfriend.
"Hey, I'll be back." Mar said before getting up.
Marley's POV
I can't believe this. Ian would be my first serious boyfriend and I wouldn't care to have it any other way.
I left Ian to go grab my iPod and it's dock. The movie went off so we might as well just chill and listen to music.
I walked back into the living room and told Ian to follow me. We headed upstairs to my room. It was located down the hall from Aaliyah's room. Therefore the music wouldn't bother them.
My room was blue and white, filled with a bunch of nautical trinkets. Since I loved the beach, I decided to decorate my room this way. I was lucky enough to have my own bathroom as well but I wasn't done decorating that yet.
Ian sat on the chair I had in the corner, while I set up the dock and turned on my "Chill" playlist. The first song that came on was Your Love/Ferina Forever by Partynextdoor.
I leaned back on my bed and stared up at the ceiling while the music played. I heard Ian start to sing.
"Your love, your love, your love. Got me high right. You classy but nasty, girl I know. I cant lie no I wont lie." He sung.
As the next part of the song came on Ian shifted from the chair to sitting on the bed beside me.
"I need your love, I need your love. I need more, I need more." He kept singing.
I laughed at him because he actually sounded good.
I leaned up and began kissing him on his lips. I wasn't as skilled as he was but we made it work. After awhile, I got comfortable with it and became a pro in less than a few minutes. I ran my hands through his black curly hair while he squeezed me in his arms.
I pulled away and leaned back on the bed.
"That's more than enough for you!" I said while giggling.
"That was for the old and the new." He said while licking his lips.
-- why in the hell did he do that --
We were both seventeen, so yes we had hormones. And right about now they were raging but I want to wait until the time is not only right, but perfect.
"Gosh, I can't wait until that 'perfect' day," he said smiling from ear to ear.
"I bet you cant," I replied after kissing him again.
We both climbed under the covers, unable to fight off sleep any longer. I laid my head on Ian's chest and listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat as I feel asleep.
