** Marley POV **

"Hello?" I answered the call.

There was a bunch of rumbling in the background. I heard heavy breathing as well. I looked at Ian puzzled and he looked back at me worried.

"Who is this?" I asked trying to stay calm.

"Mar? Marley? We need your help. Where's Ian?" The voice whispered.

I put the phone on speaker and signaled Ian to listen.

"We're here, who is this?" I asked again.

"It's Clyde. I'm in Miami with your mother and step-father." He said.

I was completely out of it." Wait what? I thought you were in Africa with Ian's mother. What is going on!" I demanded a legit answer.

"Listen baby girl, I'll explain everything to you when we get back. I only have a little time left, so please put Ian on the phone." He said in a shaky voice.

I handed the phone over to Ian while trembling. Tears immediately began running down my face as my mind raced with terrible thoughts. I hate not knowing what's going on.

** Ian's POV **

" Dad, what the hell is going on?" I was confused as well.

"Listen son, I love you. I just need you and Mar to hang in there for a few days until we get things sorted out on my end. Be strong for her Ian, she's gonna need you more than ever right now. Tell my baby girl I love her and I miss her. Promise me one thing though son..." Craig paused.

"Promise you what?" I asked.

"Don't tell Riley what's going on. Just tell her daddy and mommy will be back in a few days. Remember I love y'all. And tell Mar her mother and father misses her too." He said.

" Dad we love you too. When will we hear from you all again?" I questioned.

"Son, the way things are going right now, I don't know. Just stay strong for me. And tell Mar to stay strong for her parents. I have to go." He rushed.

I heard a loud bang in the background and the call ended abruptly. Marley was hysterical at this point. I have so many questions but I need to calm Mar down before the girls come downstairs again.

I grabbed her and hugged her. I stroked her hair and kissed her forehead.

"It's going to be okay Mar. We're gonna get through this. Remember your parents love both you and Aaliyah. They'll be back soon. I promise." I said calmly.

How could I promise something that I wasn't sure about. I just felt that everything would be fine after all of this chaos.

Marley eventually stopped crying as the girls ran downstairs.

"Who was that? We heard someone else down here!" Aaliyah asked.

"Was that my daddy?" Riley questioned.

Me and Marley looked at each other. Marley nodded her head; I guess that meant to tell them.

I grabbed Riley and sat her on my lap as Marley did the same with Aaliyah.

"Listen, our dad and Aaliyah's parents are handling business. They'll be gone for a few more days. But their okay. They told me that they love and miss you guys." I explained.

Both of them simply nodded their heads and began smiling. They really know how to lift Marley and I's spirits. Marley and I smiled at each other as the girls began playing together.

"I'm going to go give the girls a bath. There going to stay at my Aunt's house tonight. She's having a slumber party for her son Fred." She told me.

"Why cant they just stay here?" I questioned.

"Me and you have plans tonight." She said while walking away.

I wonder she's up to.
