There's Nobody Like You (Parts 1 & 2)

Chapter XXX

** Marley's POV **

I didn't know what to think. I was filled with joy, excitement, shock and worry all at the same time. I was most definitely pregnant.

I looked over at Ian with tears in my eyes. He looked as if he had just seen a ghost.

"Baby, we're pregnant." I whispered to him while smiling.

He simply smiled back and grabbed my hand. That's all I needed him to do. My mind immediately began thinking about how our lives would be so much different now.

Dr. Sam came back into the room with a huge smile on his face.

"Marley and Ian, you all should be elated. I will need to see you in a few more weeks to check on a few things again." He said while smiling.

"What do you mean by again?" Ian asked while standing up.

"No need to get uptight Ian. It's something good. Me and my team just have to make sure we're right before we reveal the big news." Dr. Sam replied.

Ian immediately sat back down and apologized. Once again here was another surprise; which I hated.

"Donna at the front desk will assist you all with booking your next appointment. See you then. And once again congratulations ." Dr. Sam added before leaving the room.

I gathered myself before walking out of the room with Ian following closely behind me. After making our appointment the same guy from the waiting room winked at us. I simply smiled while Ian nodded his head as we proceeded to the exit.

"How are we going to tell our parents?" I asked Ian.

"My dad already knows. You want to know something crazy?" He asked.

"What?" I asked back.

"I think Aaliyah and Riley are going be the ones to take the news hard." He replied while laughing.

"You think so? They were our babies and now their about to get their spots taken." I said while smiling and rubbing my belly.

"Yeah, but they're going to be aunties now." Ian added while hugging me.

"Come on let's go home and tell the family." He added while we walked towards my car.

** Back at the house **

** Ian's POV **

"Well, where y'all coming from?" My mom asked causing the room to grow silent.

Everybody began eye-balling Marley and I. I was nervous but there was no turning back now. I glanced over at my dad and he nodded his head at me. I felt Marley grip my left hand tighter as I began speaking.

"Marley is pregnant." I said after a deep sigh.

No one said anything for a while.

"Mommy what's pregnant?" Aaliyah asked.

Everyone ignored her as they reverted their attention back to us.

"So you guys aren't happy for us?" Marley asked in a shaky voice.

"We're excited!" Sadé squealed as she walked over to where we were and hugged us. Everyone else followed closely behind.

"Yayyyyy, Pregnant!" Riley and Aaliyah yelled as they began jumping up and down on the couch.

Everyone laughed at the girls. They were so excited about something that they didn't know much about. If only they knew what was coming.

"How many weeks baby?" Sadé asked Marley.

"Six weeks." Marley replied while smiling.

"Oh my." My mother chimed in before nudging my arm.

"Jessica stop showing out! We were once in their shoes." My father warned my mother.

"Well baby we are all here for you. We have to start planning the baby shower! Any themes in mind? Colors? What do you think you're having?" Sadé began bombarding Marley with questions.

"Woah mom. Just be patient, we have time for all of this. I have to go back and see the doctor in two weeks. They are reviewing my ultrasounds." Marley said while throwing up her hands in surrender.

"Reviewing?" Clyde asked suspiciously.

"Is something wrong?" Sadé asked.

"According to Dr. Sam, everything's fine." I interjected.

"We will all be there for y'all next visit. ALL OF US!" My mother added before hugging Marley and I.

"I love you guys." Marley said while letting out a sigh.

Everyone went back to sitting down on the sectional and relaxing. Aaliyah and Riley were both rubbing on Marley's stomach. They weren't paying me any attention.

"It's a part of me inside of Marley too guys." I whispered to them.

"Whatever. It's inside of Marley though!" Aaliyah snapped back while hugging Marley's waist.

The room erupted in laughter after hearing Aaliyah's smart remark. The laughing stopped after hearing a loud knock on our door.

"Who is it?" My dad yelled from the couch.

"Daniel." The voice murmured through the door.

Daniel walked in with a huge smile on his face. I wonder what the hell had him feeling so good.

"What's up fam?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, I heard the news." He replied.

"What news?" Everyone asked in unison.

"Marley's pregnant!" He said loudly.

"Wait, how do you know?" I asked confused.

"Let's just say I have to see Dr. Sam too." He replied while smiling.

"Broooo! who is the chick?" I asked surprised.

"Her name is Chelsea. I'm going to let y'all meet her one day." He added.

"Well anybody else pregnant?!" Clyde yelled from the corner.

"Yeah, me." Sadé butted in.

"Girl stop playing!" Jessica squealed.

"You know I am. Aaliyah is handful already!" Sadé added.

The rest of the night was filled with conversation and laughter. I am honestly just counting down the days until our next OBGYN visit. I'm dying to know about our child.
