** Ian's POV **

"Fam calm down, what's up with you?" I asked while staring at Daniel in the backseat.

"Something ain't right Ian, I can feel it." Daniel replied while trying to catch his breath.

"Daniel please calm down. You're going to start hyperventilating." Marley pleaded with him.

"I'm trying. Y'all just don't understand. This girl, the woman that is bearing my child ... Something is up with her!" He yelled.

"See! I told your dumb ass Ian!" Marley screamed at me while clutching the door handle.

"Told you what?" Daniel asked. He was completely lost.

"She's a snake bro." Marley added.

"How do you know?" Daniel asking while raising his eyebrows.

I immediately crank up the car and drove off. There's no way in hell I was letting Daniel go back in that doctor's office.

"She setting me up fam. She got up and went to the restroom but she left her phone in the seat. The phone vibed, from somebody named Mell. The message said,' I'm on my way. Make sure he's not around you.'" Daniel explained.

"Who's Mell?" I asked outloud.

As soon as I thought things were calming down, shit sparked right back up.

"Mell is a nigga that has beef with me." Daniel replied.

"I knew it." Marley said.

"Wait, wait fam -- Why?" I asked.

"To make a long story short he used to date my sister Rissa; things went terribly wrong." Daniel responded.

"Rissa? Rissa? Rissa?" I heard Marley whispering to herself.

I looked over to her and it seemed like a lightbulb went off on her head.

"I know Rissa. I know Mell too!" She admitted.

We all went to school together at some point in time so I bet she did. Marley is beginning to make me wonder if she some type of psychic or something. Lately she's been getting these urges about people.

"Bro, I don't know what to think. This nigga Mell is crazy." Daniel stressed.

"He ain't too crazy. If his ass run-up on us, he gone end up just like that bitch Arie. DEAD." I said ending the conversation.

The ride back home was pretty much silent. Marley was busy looking at baby names on her phone. Daniel was in the back staring into the distance; thinking about life I guess.

We pulled up at the hotel; I was ready to get up outta here. I missed being home, well at Marley's house. I got to put something together.

"Yo, thanks bro." Daniel broke the silence while tapping me on the shoulder.

"No problem." I replied before he got out the car and headed inside.

I came around and opened Marley's door then we followed Daniel in. Everything was so peaceful. Of course, Charlie was at the front desk winking at me as always. I never seen a girl so thirsty.

Marley and I walked into the elevator and headed up to our room's floor. Oddly, the elevator froze on floor 9. Their was a lot of banging and yelling coming from the other side of the door.

"What the hell is that?" Marley questioned.

"I don't know baby. Just stand over there and stay back. The doors are about to open." I instructed while pointing to the adjacent side of the elevator.
