** Ian's POV **

I glanced over at Marley; she seemed very tense.

"What's wrong babe?" I asked.

"Nothing, just feeling like something is just off." She replied lowly.

I placed my hand over hers and looked at her.

"Baby, I gotchu." I reassured her.

She smiled at me weakly then reverted her attention back to the road. My phone began vibrating from my dad's number and I answered.

"Hello?" My dad asked.

"Hey dad wassup?" I replied.

"Son, we're going to have to make a detour." He informed me.

I immediately put the phone on speaker so Marley could hear as well.

"Someone's following us." My dad added.

"Do you know who?" I asked.

"No, but I have a feeling that I know. I want y'all to take an alternate route to the hotel while we hang back and handle this. I love you guys." He said.

And with that, the call ended. Marley was starting to flip out a little and I was beginning to worry.

"Baby, you gotta calm down. We can't wake the girls up." I said calmly.

She just simply nodded her head and took a deep breath. Instead of keeping straight on the turnpike we got off on the next exit. As I looked to my right, I could see my dad's truck pass with a black car following closely behind.

After a few turns and bends we crept downtown. Marley parked the car in between many others cars and we quickly jumped out. I surveyed the area before grabbing Riley out of the car. Marley grabbed Aaliyah and we quickly ran into the building.

A sense of relief came over me as I looked around at all of the happy, talkative people. Everyone seemed so happy, meanwhile, our life was on the verge of being a living hell.

I noticed a woman walking in our direction. She was about 5 foot 3 inches with short, thick, with black hair. She had on an all black suit with heels to match.

"Charlie?" I asked hesistantly.

"Yes, I know everything. Where's the rest of the crew." She asked worriedly.

"Business." I said simply. I haven't quite gotten the notion to trust her yet. I guess I should because she's giving us a safe haven here; free of charge.

"I understand. That's good, don't let everyone know what's going on. Anyway, your room is 6-509. Just take those elevators to the highest floor then make a quick left and you're there." She said while smiling.

I heard Marley begin to clear her throat as Charlie smiled at me.

"Okay thanks." I said while grabbing the room keys.

"Bye." She waived while winking at me and mean mugging Marley.

She glared at me and quickly headed for the elevators with Aaliyah in her arms. Is she seriously trying to catch an attitude now? I prepped myself while the elevator doors closed; I knew she was about to say something.

** Marley's POV **

I wasn't feeling this Charlie bitch from the jump but I have to respect her because we need her. I glared at Ian with a straight face as he looked at me helplessly.

"I'm sorry." I began saying.

"For?" Ian asked.

"Being jealous. Especially at this time." I added.

"It's fine baby. Just know you don't have to worry about these other women. I only have eyes for you." He said while making me smile.

Ian walked over to my side of the elevator and placed a kissed on my forehead.

The elevator's bell dinged and we walked out and headed to our room. Once Ian opened the door, my jaw dropped. The suite looked better than a regular house. I sat down my purse and phone and walked around the place. Ian followed closely behind.

"This is sweet. I can't wait for my dad and your parents to see this." He exclaimed.

"Me either. I just hope they get here soon." I replied.

"Hey, let's put the girls down." Ian suggested.

The problem was which room were we going to use. The suite didn't have a proper girls' room. Ian decided to let them sleep in the smallest room. It had two twin beds and a massive flat-screen TV. I laid Aaliyah on one bed as Ian laid Riley on the other. I kissed my baby sister on the forehead then walked out behind Ian.

"So what now?" I asked. I was beginning to worry about my parents; as well as Ian's father.

"We sit and wait." Ian said while lounging on the couch and turning on the TV.

I hated waiting, especially when I'm not aware of what's going on. I began pacing back and forth behind the couch until Ian grabbed my arm.

"Sit down." He pleaded.

I walked around the couch and sat down while leaning up against him. He wrapped his arm around me as we watched TV. It was going on 2 in the morning and we still haven't heard from them. Ian just seemed unusually calm.

"Baby, aren't you worried about them?" I asked.

"I am, but I know my dad is handling things. He's always been a man of his word." Ian replied.

"I just pray ..." I began speaking before a loud knock interrupted us.

Ian sprung up from the couch and headed towards the door. I immediately trailed behind him until we reached the room's door.

"Who is it babe?" I asked as Ian looked through the peephole.
