You and Aang woke up in a house made of ice and snow. You squinted into the bright light before looking around. Your brother's head just above yours. You turned on your stomach and looked at your twin. He was moving slowly. When he looked up, he saw you. You smiled at him.

"Hey sis," he said with a smile.

"Hey airhead. Do you remember what happened," you questioned. He sat up and rubbed his bald head.

"I remember there was a storm. Appa went down and we almost drowned. Next thing I remember was falling into the arms of a girl in Watertribe clothes," Aang explained as he put on his shirt. You sat up and nodded.

"Yeah I remember just kinda falling out of ice. How did we end up in the ice anyway," you asked. Aang looked at his arrows before looking at you.

"I think I might've done it." You crawled over to Aang and sat next to him. You slung your arm over his shoulder and he rested his head on your shoulder.

"Aang, you can't run from your fate forever. I know that it's scary but don't worry.  I'll be there for you every step of the way. I promise."

***One Day Later***

You rushed around along with other people to get the children to safety. Sokka was preparing for battle and Katara and Aang were still not back from their trip yet.

Gosh I hope they are okay, you thought. The whole village was in a uproar because ash started to rain down from the heavens. Which only meant that the Fire Nation was coming. Sokka and Katara told you and Aang that everything changed while we were in the ice. It was a hard fate to except but you did. In the midst of the chaos, Aang and Katara arrived. They both were off helping people. Then a large black ship broke through the thick ice and penetrated Sokka's "wall".

When the hatch fell down, a teen with a burn over his left eye walked down with two guards on both sides of him. Sokka ran at the teen but he just kicked him. Sokka was knocked over and landed head first into the snow. When the teen approached, he looked around the crowd. Then he grabbed Katara and Sokka's grandmother.

"Where is the Avatar!? He should be about this old," he said as he shook her slightly. No one spoke so he tossed her back to Katara. Then he spotted my brother.

"You!" Aang stepped forward and faced him. "But... this can't be. Your just a child," he said.

"Well you're just a teenager," Aang replied. Then the kid started fire bending. Aang did his best to shield everyone. You jumped out and helped as well. Aang looked back at the crowd and saw their fear. You saw it too and you knew what Aang was going to do. So you spoke before he did.

"If I go with you, will you leave these people in peace," you asked the kid. He looked at you and nodded. You stepped forward before Aang grabbed my arm.

"What are you doing," he asked frantically.

"Just trust me. You can't protect the world if you are bound it chains by Fire Nation," you said. He let your arm go and you walked towards the hot tempered teenager. His guards took your glider and took you to the ship.

"But Y/n," Aang cried. You looked over your shoulder and smiled at him.

"It'll be okay. Katara, take care of Aang for me until I get back," you said. Then the hatch shut and you were off.
