Aang ~ Beach Day

     "Cannon Ball," Aang shouted as he hugged his knees and jumped into the water. You and Katara laughed as his impact splashed you both. You dove underwater and saw Aang. When he saw you he started doing goofy tricks underwater before resurfacing. Zuko sat on the shore along with Toph and Sokka. Zuko, your oldest friend, watched you from the shore and laughed when you tackled Aang in the water. You were a Firebender but you sometimes refused to use your bending abilities. You walked out of the water and to the beach house that belonged to Zuko and his family. Then you heard a voice behind you as you walked a path that lead to the top of a dune. "Hey where are you going?" You turned and it was Aang. He had a towel on his head and you laughed.

     "You do know that you don't have hair right," reminded him with a grin. He felt his head and smiled.

     "Well maybe I'm just practicing for when I do get hair," he retorted. You giggled. "Where are you going?"

     "To the top of the dune. The sun is starting to set and the view from the top is beautiful," you said as you looked to the top of the path. You looked back at the Airbender and he was smiling at you. "What," you said with a giggle. 

     "Nothing, nothing. It's just...  I love the way you light up when you talk about things you love," he commented. You felt your face heat up slightly and you smiled at the ground.

     "Well would you like to join me?"

     "I thought you'd never ask." You put your hand out for him to take. Once he wrapped his fingers around your palm, you lead him to the very top of the dune. You both stood there and looked out towards the horizon. The sunset looked beautiful. It changed the color of the water and the sky. Aang starred at it with wide eyes. "You were right. That is beautiful," Aang said while still gazing at the water and sky.

     "I told you. No one could every get a view like this," you commented.

     "I can," Aang mumbled as he looked at you, "everyday of my life." You looked at him and realized he was talking about you. You smiled at him. Then Aang kissed your cheek and turned away as if he didn't do anything. You brushed your fingers over your cheek where he kissed you and you felt your face heat up. You looked back at Aang as he turned to look at you again. "Sorry," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Then you pressed your lips to his. It was like fireworks went off inside you. When you pulled away, you put both hands on the sides of his face.

     "Don't be. I liked it," you said. He smiled at you. He pulled you closer to him and you both watched the rest of the sunset together.
